wallofsoundau.com[edit]

I noticed after I reverted that wallofsoundau.com lists its editorial board under https://wallofsoundau.com/contact/ but the reviewer would still fail as he is not professional. Should I ask about it at WP:RSN or are you OK with not including it? Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:16, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is considered professional by standards of Wiki? I know the owner/editor/reviewer has made global headlines for their work and worked in the radio industry for 10 years and the music industry. This website constantly is credited by others across the world, just interested to see why it shouldn't be included? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalcub (talkcontribs) 04:12, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Jinjer reviewer at https://wallofsoundau.com/2021/08/23/jinjer-wallflowers-album-review/ is listed as kjdraven. The staff and contributing editors are listed at https://wallofsoundau.com/contact/ and kjdraven (or even raven) are listed there. This seems to be a user-generated review or what we call WP:USERGENERATED.\
You could go to WP:RSN to ask there. I'm just one editor, and this is my take. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:54, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

October 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Victor Lopes. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, A View from the Top of the World, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Victor Lopes Fala!C 16:24, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest in regards to Wall of Sound[edit]

Information icon Hello, Metalcub. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

This constant addition of citations almost exclusively to Wall of Sound across Wikipedia is basically promotion. You saying above, "I know the owner/editor/reviewer has made global headlines for their work and worked in the radio industry for 10 years and the music industry. This website constantly is credited by others across the world" sounds like you are the "owner/editor/reviewer", because I wouldn't believe somebody else would speak about a writer on a review blog in such glowing terms. If you are them or are somehow a friend of the person in question, you must declare this conflict of interest. Wikipedia does not exist to serve as a platform for you to plant links into to drive more traffic to your own or favourite website. Ss112 18:39, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
