Your intent to write an article about your company[edit]

You wrote on the Help desk that if the NexTag article is allowed, then your company can do the same thing. You may have a misconception of the nature of the NexTag article: Its content is not created or controlled by NexTag; although it appears the article was initially created by a NexTag person, neutral editors rewrote it completely within hours.

You should not assume that because other stuff exists that your company is entitled to an article. The NexTag article was nominated for speedy deletion as unambiguously promotional five minutes after being created. Fortunately for that article someone rewrote it rather than deleting it. Since 2008 when the NexTag article was created, there is much more hostility to editing on behalf of a company. Nowadays a promotional article would be summarily deleted. And experience shows that users editing on behalf of a company are unable to write articles that are adequately neutral. Even if there is a possible article for your company, you are one of the least qualified people on earth to write it. —teb728 t c 02:44, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
