June 2012[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Michael Lord Microbilo Smith. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Michael Lord Microbilo Smith requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. A tag has been placed on User:Microbilo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. The issue with your draft, although this has not been properly highlighted in previous reviews, is Smith's dubious notability. I have examined all 22 references listed in the draft and the only secondary source that lends him any significant coverage is the Poker-Nave source. All the others are either online picture collections in webzines and blogs, stuff he's published himself, his own website, agents websites and profile sites, or passing mentions of his name/photograph. In order to be eligible to have a Wikipedia article models must meet the criteria at WP:NMODEL or WP:ANYBIO. It seems you have tried to satisfy the previous reviews requests for better sources by increasing the number of sources with little thought to the quality of them. It probably should have been explained to you that what is needed is a smaller number of high quality independent sources, not a large number of trivial ones, that are closely connected with the subject. If such sources can't be found, Smith doesn't merit a Wikipedia article and you're probably wasting your time. Bellerophon talk to me 18:00, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you specify all the referencing I should remove in details. And, can only one referencing 'Poker Knave' which seems to be a secondary source be accepted as a single referencing? The link to Newpaper publication 'The Sun Newspaper UK' is a secondary source, but only allows those with paid subscription to have full detailed access to it's publications. Your further verification is needed on this.If you need a screenshoots of the publications, I can make them available to you on request. Microbilo (talk) 00:15, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's not about removing references, it's about evidencing that Smith has received enough significant coverage in independent, reliable sources to satisfy Wikipedia notability requirements. The poker nave source is insufficient in its own right. If the sun reference is anything other than a one-on-one interview that focuses only on Smith or a review that focuses only on Smith's work, then it similarly lends no weight to his notability. I suspect, from what I could see of The Sun article, that it is about a photoshoot that Smith (and several others) took part in and he is discussed (along with other people). In which case, it simply includes him, it isn't about him. I've been on Wikipedia for quite a while now, and reviewed thousands of submissions, you've clearly put a lot of effort into trying to find and add references to this submission. I don't wish to sound cruel, but I feel this submission is an example of one of those occasions where the ambitions of the editor exceed the importance of the topic.
