What a nonsense ! Premultiplied alpha has less info than non-premultiplied alpha. So, any claim of it being more sophisticated, apart from performance, is nothing but little talk.

This whole Wikipedia page seems to be written by marketing people. Blah blah announced blah blah. This page needs a rewrite from a technical viewpoint by a neutral third-party.
