Mike d261 (talk) 15:45, 25 April 2011 (UTC) Capacity Theory[reply]

I was informed that my submission was rejected for citation reasons. However, when looking at the guidelines, it states that parenthetical references are available. Can you please do a favor, I am a doctoral student and this is part of an assignment that must be presented today. If you will notice, I do have citations, just not in footnote. Can you please approve the page for a conditional 24 hour period, allowing me to create the style (footnotes opposed to parenthetical reference) after the presentation.

Thanks, MikeD_261

(talk page stalker) I noticed your comment on Chzz's page - would it be okay for you to have help turning the parenthetic refs into footnotes, or does it have to be all your own work? Pesky (talk) 15:58, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It would be fine for assistance of turning footnotes. The assignment was to research an original theory and take it from complex for to lay-terms so it would be appropriate for non-scholars. It is more of a teaching exercise than a learning wiki-code. Any help would be amazing!

gdgd! Already working on it in my sandbox - here! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ThatPeskyCommoner/sandbox1# Come take a look see. Pesky (talk) 16:26, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK; done :o) I've set the refs up as Harvard-type refs, so that as and when you can get around to palying with those handy citation templates :o) (ask Chzz for any help you might need in understanding them - Chzz is a brilliant teacher), you can include ref=Harv in the template, at which point your footnotes should link automatically to the reference they come from). I'll now slap the whole thing back whence it came ...... Pesky (talk) 16:55, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for your help. As I add stuff, I will definitely take the time to learn how to do it. It does make it look so much cleaner.

Yay! It's going through :o)[edit]

Basically was fine apart from the citations and a little bit of tidy-up. Well done :o) Pesky (talk) 18:08, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
