Midsomer Norton article

Hello Miklosesteresterhazy, thanks for your recent edits of the Midsomer Norton article. I have reverted some of the material you added as I do not believe it meets Wikipedia guidance. Your reasons for the edit are based more on your personal beliefs about history than anything to do with the guidelines. I find it rather curious that you think more lines are deserved for a "Wurzels" song than about this event in Midsomer Norton, which has made history for the town, the county of Somerset and the progression of the LGBTQ+ movement across the country. How dare you presume to know anything about my personal beliefs about history? I edit Wikipedia within its rules and guidelines, I don't express beliefs about history. I have also expressed no view as to whether this content or the Wurzels "deserve" quantities of lines. Wikipedia is about Notability supported by reliable sources, not what deserves lines. I will dare because by editing out that section on Midsomer Norton Pride you have made a very strong political statement, homophobic in it's ends if not in its intention, that LGBTQ+ Pride events are not culturally significant. Miklosesteresterhazy

It is accepted Wikipedia practice to assume good faith on the part of other editors. Please see: WP:GF. How sad, and prejudiced, that rather than do so you chose to resort to personal abuse and name-calling of someone you have never met and whose views you know nothing about.

Once again, in my edits I was following Wikipedia guidance, please follow the links I posted to it on the article's Talk page if you are unclear about this. Homophobia is a system of oppression that disempowers LGBTQ+ and makes them second class members of society. It devalues their lives, their status in society and most importantly in this case, their history. Your actions have shown yourself to be an active individual in that disempowerment - that's not "name calling" or "abuse" - that is a fact. This so called "good faith" is broken when you have clearly positioned yourself in this political way that erases the stories of LGBTQ+ individuals.

I have read your edits that are supposedly in lines with Wikipedia guidance and it is no grounds to remove that section.

I repeat again, please refrain from this petty name-calling and false accusations. It is has no place on Wikipedia.

And in terms of the content of the article, I would suggest a discussion on its Talk page to seek consensus about the content amongst regular editors of the page. Peteinterpol (talk) 13:15, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
