Ethiopian airlines fleet[edit]

I have transferred to Ethiopian airlines fleet section to Ethiopian Airlines fleet page hope I have done correct edit If wrong please accept my apologies and correct it Ktdk (talk) 10:28, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. We are having a lot of trouble with this article. An editor with an account was blocked for vandalizing this article and now he is back as an IP WP:SOCK vandalizing it again. Multiple editors have been reverting him. Can you please consider "semi-protecting" it? Thank you. - Ahunt (talk) 18:29, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I asked WP:RFP, so could you close that? Thanks. Good to see back again. Hope all is well. - BilCat (talk) 18:34, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pleased to be back, just some distractions caused by current events and real life. MilborneOne (talk) 18:42, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! - Ahunt (talk) 18:38, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The protection ended yesterday, and the disruption is back today. It's using a registered username this time, so perhaps blocking would be a first step? Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 16:06, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Appears to have been blocked as a sock I have semi-protected it just in case we get further disruption. MilborneOne (talk) 12:32, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see you had a discussion with someone wanting to remove Wolverhampton_air_crash I can see their point but they lumped it into an article about Pendeford. I propose move it into a separate article about Pendeford Airport as then it can join the category of disused airports.Mariegriffiths (talk) 09:12, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mariegriffiths I dont have a problem with an article about the airfield. MilborneOne (talk) 15:22, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Andy Auld (Royal Navy officer)[edit]

On 17 July 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Andy Auld (Royal Navy officer), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that during the Falklands War, Royal Navy officer Andy Auld helped make operational the Sea Harrier, a short take-off and vertical landing jet fighter? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Andy Auld (Royal Navy officer)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Cwmhiraeth (talk) 00:02, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Make you wonder what value DYK has when an AfD deleted article gets restored and is put straight on DYK without anybody actually checking it. MilborneOne (talk) 10:40, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dassault Rafale[edit]

Hi M, could see if it's time to semi-protect Dassault Rafale? We've had the usual IPs adding India to the "more users" section in the infobox for months now. But now India is inducting 5 Rafales into service, and it's liable to get worse. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 07:11, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Images on Hindustan Aeronautics Limited[edit]

Hi, I noticed you removed a lot of the images on the page. Could you explain the reasoning behind the removal? Debitpixie 💬 19:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Refer to article talk. MilborneOne (talk) 19:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Amazon Prime Air[edit]

Hi. I know this seems crazy. But, I noticed that Amazon Prime Air says that it’s drones are supplied by AgEagle and you were the last to edit the page. So, I’m wondering if this is indeed true? Thank you so much for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JLayson24 (talkcontribs) 00:46, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea I was removing vandalism, best to raise at the article talk page. MilborneOne (talk) 07:16, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fiat G.91Y[edit]

Hi Milb, could you look into semi-protecting Fiat G.91Y? An IP hopper has been making unsourced changes to the cited specs which Nimbus has verified as correct per the cited sources. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 05:59, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you are doing okay there?[edit]

Sorry to see your recent update. Our thoughts are all with you. Hope to see you back here soon once you feel up to it. - Ahunt (talk) 21:12, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Same from me. Wish you the best through your difficult time. - Samf4u (talk) 21:19, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Same here. I'll keep you in my prayers. BilCat (talk) 22:48, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you![edit]

Condolences on your loss.

BilCat (talk) 21:43, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to everbody for the kind words and thoughts, I need time to adjust to the loss of my dear wife for what is now a different life, I do intend to return soon but I just need some time. MilborneOne (talk) 15:33, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Michael: Sorry to hear that. My wife died in 2014, after two-years of dealing with cancer. It is very hard losing your partner like that. It takes a while to get life back on some kind of track, so take whatever time you need. I hope we will see you back here when you are ready. Let us know if we can do anything. - Ahunt (talk) 16:07, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'll keep you in my prayers, Michael. And I second what Adam said, anything we can help with, let us know. BilCat (talk) 19:27, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all the kind words, still trying to adjust to all the changes in life that it has caused, covid restrictions have been a challenge with only limited numbers allowed at my wife's funeral and we had to forego a wake for now. Hope to contribute to wikipedia again as perhaps a little oasis of normality will help moving forward. MilborneOne (talk) 06:46, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure that Wikipedia could be termed an "oasis of normality" (Bill would probably agree), but it can be a place where you can think about "something else" for a few hours. Working here certainly helped me during that period of time, too. In many ways "normal" is the best thing. Let us know if we can do more here. Please don't suffer alone. - Ahunt (talk) 13:40, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes perhaps "normality" was the wrong word but it can be a place that carries on in its own mad way despite individual circumstances. Life goes on, one of my friends who was one of the few at my wifes funeral has died unexpectedly this week, he was a former Lightning pilot. MilborneOne (talk) 14:44, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Never rain, but it pours, eh? - Ahunt (talk) 19:42, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not helped by a campaign of personal attacks from User:Mark Lincoln I have enough to deal with in real life without that sort of behaviour. MilborneOne (talk) 18:53, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rude user[edit]

Would you mind indef blocking Mark Lincoln following yet another go at you, or would you prefer I take it to ANI? — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 20:59, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Steelpillow, sorry I needed to take a few days away from what appeared to be unprovoked attacks. I was probably to involved to block so it should be raised at ANI if the user comes back. MilborneOne (talk) 09:40, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Now raised at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Uncivil editor Mark Lincoln — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 18:30, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Uncivil editor Mark Lincoln[edit]

Sorry to bother you, but I would greatly appreciate your participation in the ANI discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Uncivil editor Mark Lincoln. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 12:32, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Steelpillow, I have added a comment. MilborneOne (talk) 18:11, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to trouble you again, but the ANI discussion of Mark Lincoln has become increasingly bizarre and I don't think I can progress it on my own. Maybe I should retire from it? Any further participation from you would be most welcome. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 00:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your effort Steelpillow probably best to leave it for now as I dont see it going anywhere. It appears the User:Mark Lincoln has given up editing for the time being as he has not got his own way which is a shame as he clearly knows stuff and could have been a positive contributor but doesnt understand consensus or to work with others.
