Speedy deletion nomination of Wishup[edit]

Hello Millind213,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wishup for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheBlueCanoe 05:44, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Wishup has been reverted.
Your edit here to Wishup was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/WishUpNow/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Wishup. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. The page Wishup has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the content of the page appeared to be purely promotion of something or someone, and was unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Advice[edit]

Wikipedia has tens of thousands of regular editors. If a new topic appears that belongs in the encyclopedia, one of the regulars will usually have it covered. For example : 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting.

If you have an article that nobody else, not even the regulars has written about, it's probably because nobody has any information to write about it. In the case of Wishup, I can see there is an announcement in Tech in Asia, but that's about it, and a single news release isn't really enough information to be able to write a well-balanced article. Have a think about what people would like to read about in 10, 50, 100 years time about this. If that question sounds odd, consider the same for something like Hillary Clinton, that might be a bit easier to answer. That's why, as a new user, you'll find you have an easier time modifying and improving existing articles, rather than trying to create one from scratch. Millind : Thank you for the advice. I ll be updating the page as soon as I get more info on the topic. I agree it is tough to find info on wishup as of now, but as you can see it is still relevant info nonetheless. It does not talk about what the founders wanted the media to stay or how cool the company is. It simply defines what company is. So I request that let the wiki page exist and I ll update is as soon as I get new info — Preceding unsigned comment added by Millind213 (talkcontribs) 17:50, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I strongly recommend you CLICK HERE and use the Article Wizard. It will guide you through creating an article in a more user-friendly manner, and put it in draft space for you so it can be independently reviewed. Drafts are, broadly speaking, safe from deletion (aside from obvious vandalism, which this isn't). If you need deleted content restored, let me (or any other administrator) know and we can look into it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:53, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Millind213: I sincerely thank you Ritchie333 for all your help. I would like everyone to note that I am not an employee of Wishup, but only requested on their behalf to make a wiki page since I requested info on their app. If it could be done, kindly restore the page on 'Wishup'. If others don't have info on something doesn't mean it is not available. I will cite the sources I find and be extremely neutral in my editing. Thanks a lot.
