Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Primary sources[edit]

I'm wondering about this edit. You removed the legitimate primary sources (per ABOUTSELF) and left citation needed tags. What's up? Was there something else wrong with those sources? -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 20:34, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Valjean Hello! The reason for removal is that a few of the sources were dead links https://www.stvincent.edu/community-events/newsroom/2019/06/14/svc-announces-president but more so they from the collegiate website which is a primary source. To my understanding sources must be third-party independent Wikipedia:NOTRELIABLE Is this correct? MinetheGap (talk) 18:15, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is some allowance for primary sources. Sometimes they are essential. See WP:ABOUTSELF. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 18:33, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
