Headless Nun[edit]
Hi, I see that you have had this article deleted as a speedy deletion. I also see that you are new to Wikipedia. I also saw that you got what may have been a less than satisfactory answer at the Help Desk. I am one of the many admininstrators here, and perhaps I can help explain what is going on. Although we have a broader scope than most encyclopedias, we cannot keep every article that is created. We get a huge number of articles on high school students, garage bands that have never played in public, and other utterly non-notable things. We also get a lot of articles that are either so badly formented or otherwise unsavageble that they need to go. One of the processes we have for removing these articles is speedy deletion. Basically any article that meets certain criteria can be deleted on sight by any admin. Any other user can tag articles to bring them to the attention of admins. Articles that are more controversial cannot be speedy deleted but must go through processes that give more people the oportunity to comment on the article. Your article was tagged as patent nonsense, which is one of the speedy deletion criteria, and deleted as such. I believe this was done in error and your article did not meet that criteria. (I will be discussiong this with the admin that did the deletion.) I am going to restore your article on your user page, so that you can continue to work on it. When you feel it is ready to be moved to the main article space you can do that. If you need help, contact me.
As to the particulars, of this article. An article on a ghost that is written from an assumption that the ghost actually exists will not remain in that form here fpr long. However, as a piece of folklore it is quite possible that an article could be written about this ghost. The key is whether or not there are sources that have written about it. (See our policy on verifiability for more details.) If there are published accounts in reliable sources, then the article should be good addition to the project. Please note that the sources do not need to be on the web. If you have read about this ghost in books, magazines or newspapers, then you can cite them. Dsmdgold (talk) 04:34, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
