Chhibramau[edit]

I have edited your work on Chhibramau and I hope you are happy with the results. Here are some notes for your information:

  • The latitude and longitude are shown in decimal form rather than degrees and minutes.
  • The Infobox only displays one population figure, which should be the latest official data. I have moved the others to the text of the article.
  • Thank you for citing your sources! You will see from the article the best way to include them; put them after the information cited, surrounded by <ref> </ref>. They will appear as footnotes in the place in the article where there is a tag {{Reflist}} or <references/>.
  • You have quoted material from http://mainpuri.nic.in/history.htm which may be copyright. It is OK to take information from other sources but please change the actual words.
  • I think you made a mistake linking to [[sara]]i - when you have letters outside the brackets, they appear as if they were part of the link, but the link only goes to the page inside the brackets, in this case Sara. You then changed the content of the page at Sara, instead of linking your article to Sarai. It's fixed now.
  • When adding material which mentions people, places etc that might already have an article in Wikipedia, please search for them in Wikipedia and add links in the article. I have added some examples of this for Hodson and Campbell in the article.

I hope this helps! Feel free to ask me for advice at any time. Again, welcome! - Fayenatic london (talk) 07:49, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Please could you explain what is/are "Munsafi, Tehsil, Thana"? - Fayenatic london (talk) 08:07, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As no-one has explained these words I have removed them again, along with some lists of redlinks (non-notable information). Please see the Wikipedia guideline WP:IINFO. - Fayenatic (talk) 23:25, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Kannauj.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kannauj.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:07, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, that's a copyright image from http://www.mapsofindia.com/maps/uttarpradesh/districts/kannauj.htm and it will not be permitted to remain on Wikipedia. The website requires US $ 115 / INR 5,000 - have you paid that? Even if you had, Wikipedia cannot use copyright images; everything on Wikipedia has to be available for anyone else to use without payment.
If you have a graphics program you are of course welcome to make your own map image and upload it to be used freely. - Fayenatic london (talk) 21:49, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
