I'm the editor and only trusted contributor on tv.com, so I don't understand how that makes me anything but trusted in the matters of the Young Riders. Please do not use any information found on my sites. Mahalo, RayeMissRaye (talk) 07:45, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your creation of that page and the comments on it were not appropriate and I have requested it be deleted. As a side note, neither of your sites meets Wikipedia's qualifications to be a reliable source anymore than they do to be an External Link so nothing in those sites would be used in the article anyway. Collectonian (talk) 13:40, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the page on the young riders asking for behind the scenes info led me to believe that you wanted behind the scenes info..

but as you've been so kind as to delete even my question about it, i get the impression that you don't want what you've asked for..

and i don't see how a site that interviewed the creator, exec. prod. and a number of main actors on the show could be anything BUT reliable...

if someone could explain to me what else you'd need to know besides the fact that the creator of the show gave me the title of official show historian would qualify.. i'd be glad to know it...

other than that. .if i ever see a link to my site... i'll ask that it be deleted, i'd hate for someone else to get in trouble for trying to acknowledge my inacurate site..

Mahalo for confusing me yet again..

We do want behind the scenes info, but it must come from reliable sources. The link you followed is only for comments on the article's rating on start class, and making subtle threats and attempting to ban the use of or linking to your site is considered uncivil. Losing your temper doesn't help either. If you had questions, you should have asked on my talk page, or in the article talk page rather than making such a page. You, are the owner of the site, can not link to it without being considered in a serious conflict of interest. The appropriate measure would have been to ask, on the article's talk page. However, the site does not meet Wikipedia's reliable source nor external link guidelines. It is a personal site created and run by one person with no editorial oversight and no reputation for fact checking.
Now, I see and understand that you say you have been called the show's official historian and that you have done interviews with key figures of the series. However, as your site is self-published, such claims must be backed up by reliable third-party sources. A similar problem occured with Ridley Scott's Legend FAQ, which is also a self-published site run by only two people. All links to it were removed from Legend (film) because it also failed the same criteria your site does. However, the owner of that site talked with me, I explained the issue, and he located an interview in Widescreen Review, a reliable film magazine, in which the film's producer acknowledge the site and credited it with aiding in the creation of the film's Director's cut, there by endorsing it and its contents. Do you have the same for your site? Can you point to one or more reliable, third-party sites that backs up the authenticity and authoritativeness of your site? Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from The Young Riders. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to The Young Riders, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. You are not the exclusive owner of the data and can not just remove content from the article because you think your site is the only source for it. It isn't. A reliable source has been added for that information, and its been corrected. Do not continue removing content from articles. Collectonian (talk) 05:58, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

well i was the one that added it... so yes at that time it was MY info to delete...

don't change your answers now, glad you found something reliable that, wow, said what I said...

raye

The source didn't say what you said, your wording was inaccurate. And, unless you are User:SummertimeRain , you didn't add it in the first place. You can't remove stuff just because you "think" it came from your site. In the case of location information, the same information is in IMDB and other places, so you can't say no one else wouldn't have added it eventually or even that the person who added it took it from your site. I'm not changing my answers. Your site is not reliable source and can not be used as a source unless you can meet the conditions stated above. Collectonian (talk) 07:05, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
