This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. Review for 1973 Pacific hurricane season[edit]

Hi Miss Madeline. I just wanted to say I'm planning to wait on the review until a critical source that went temporarily 404 comes back (hopefully soon). This is discussed and other stuff too on the review page. Thanks! Diderot's dreams (talk) 18:44, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've restarted work on eastern Pacific TC rainfall impacts on Mexico. Though the recent work centers on tropical depressions of the 1990s, I plan to revisit 1973 within the next month. Will let you know when I do so. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:44, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. Jason Rees has located the the missing hurricane tracks file. (I was doing some GA "finishing up" at the article when he informed me, so if things seem a little confused, that's because they are) Please see the comments at the GA review page and let me know if you want go ahead with the review. I've posted the GA review on the article's talk review page. Diderot's dreams (talk) 22:06, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor hurricane[edit]

You're right, it's probably not a bright idea to use the term minor hurricane in a published source. Which pages use the term? Thegreatdr (talk) 14:55, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Miss Madeline. I would just to apologise for and explain the disruption you may have noticed on WP:Good articles/recent. Following a bot request, it became apparent that it would be handy to have a bot pipe new additions to WP:GA onto the /recent subpage. Now, I admit that the bot's been having a few problems (it's still officially in trial), but I hope these have now been worked out. It should mean that every 5 minutes the newest additions are added automatically, so all users like you have to do is add the newly listed GA to WP:GA and let the bot do the work. Of course, you're allowed to do it yourself, but you don't have to. That's the plan, anyhow, so it might be an idea to add the article to WP:GA, then wait ten minutes. If the bot hasn't added it yet, add it manually and come straight to me so I can fix the bot. Essentially though, you can either carry on as normal or take advantage of the bot, as you wish. Thanks for your patience and sorry for any disruption caused. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 18:37, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category 5 Pacific hurricanes FT and Hurricane Rick (2009)[edit]

Hey, as this storm has hit category 5, it needs to be added to the topic. You have 3 months from the date of the article's creation, or until 18 January, to add the article to the topic with a fully completed PR, and 3 months from the date of dissipation (which I realise will only be a couple of days later :P) to have the article at GA. Thanks - rst20xx (talk) 21:17, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to raise FT criteria to requiring 50% featured[edit]

Hi, there is currently a proposal to raise the percentage of articles featured topics need to have featured to 50%, from 1 September 2010, and as someone with a topic with less than 50% of articles featured, this change if passed will directly affect you. Any input on your part to the discussion, and opinions both for and against the proposal, would be most welcome - rst20xx (talk) 01:06, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This passed, so your FT(s) need more articles featured by 1 September 2010, or else they will become GTs - rst20xx (talk) 20:54, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
