If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ziplocal, LP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WuhWuzDat 17:20, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for alarming you. I was in the middle of explaining my edits when I received this note. The sections edited are not referenced, and could be seen as opinion and conjecture. Would it have been better to suggest edits to that page based on this? Would like to discuss how the ambiguity of an article on a defunct company could be clarified with factual information about an existing company.
Ugh. apologies again. I promise to get the signing thing down.--Misterkellas (talk) 17:39, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds great -- I started a page for you at User:Misterkellas/ZipLocal to work on the other version of ZipLocal. It looks like you have a lot of sources, which is going to make it a whole lot easier to start the article. :) If you have any questions or want more advice or help, let me know on my talk page, or put a {{help me}} template up on your user talk page and someone else will be along to help. Also, we generally explain edits while making them -- try not to leave the edit summary blank, even if it's just a really short thing saying that you changed some words or added a comma or even that you're going to explain more on the talk page (but generally only use that "I'll explain later" when you think a move is going to be fairly uncontroversial). I agree, that sale paragraph should have been removed. :) Banaticus (talk) 10:35, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I edited the article some more and posted at User_talk:RHaworth#Ziplocal asking the last admin to delete Ziplocal to move your article into mainspace at Ziplocal (and have ZipLocal and ZipLocal, inc point to Ziplocal. I think the article should be Ziplocal instead of ZipLocal because 1) the logo doesn't capitalize anything, 2) the company seems to refer to itself in its press releases on in its Corporate section as "Ziplocal" instead of "ZipLocal". Anyway, if you'd like to chat more, please contact me on my user talk page. :) Banaticus (talk) 00:40, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's there at Ziplocal now. "Ziplocal, LP", "ZipLocal", and "ZipLocal, inc" redirect to that article. If you'd like any further help, contact me on my user talk page or put a {{help me}} template up on your own user talk page and someone will be along to help you. :) Banaticus (talk) 21:52, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
