Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Read through our guideline at Wikipedia:Spam. In addition, the article which I deleted read as if it was copied from a newspaper review, which would be a copyright violation. I didn't try to check to see if it actually was, because of the ad-speak nature of the article. To begin with, a single-location bagel shop is highly unlikely to meet our notability requirements as laid out at WP:CORP. It would also have to have some sort of major impact on the nation or at least, be THE leading bagel shop in a local area. User:Zoe|(talk) 16:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
