April 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm ElENdElA. I noticed that you recently removed content from Hindu eschatology without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. hello, I see you have restored a section titled 'In daily Life' at the bottom of Hindu eschatology page on Wiki. The section has mentioned very objectionable and misinformed info about practice of Hinduism in daily life & covid, as well as disputable & motivated statements about Indian politics. The language used can be considered very offensive and discriminatory in India. On further browsing of Wiki about other religions, I happened to found no equivalent article or opinion on Wiki. This clearly leads me to believe that Hindu religion is particularly targeted here with mala fide intentions, when the concerned section i.e.'In daily Life' has no relevance to the subject. Kindly take notice and remove the section from this page, otherwise I will be forced to report this page to concerned authorities.
Thanks Mohitkumar0121210 (talk) 17:46, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The material in question is well-cited to reliable sources. If you dispute the factuality of the content, please discuss that at the article's talk page. But keep in mind that Wikipedia is not censored to remove material that some readers may find objectionable. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:15, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Its not well cited first of all, as there are lot of biased presumptive statements written. Secondly this section has no relevance to the topic of eschatology. And finally making racist and offensive statements like 'all Indians applying cow dung and drinking cow urine' isnt acceptable. If you've decided to justify this section on the page, I will also have to report you for promoting racism in addition to misinformation. Mohitkumar0121210 (talk) 02:41, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article does not state that "all Indians apply cow dung and drink cow urine", it stated that the practice occurred in some rural areas, and the statement is cited to a reputable international journal of public health. If you deny that the practice occurred at all, in contradiction to the reputable source, you are free to make an argument to that effect at the article's talk page. Please stop edit-warring on Hindu eschatology and instead start a discussion on the talk. If you continue, you may be blocked. This is just a warning; take or leave it, it's all up to you.Wolverine XI (talk to me) 05:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
