Hi,

The Monash University media team has had some incorrect information (as well as a "This looks like advertising" notice) on the university's Wikipedia entry brought to our attention.

We have no intention of changing it ourselves, if that is outside the guidelines, but would like to have the following draft revision discussed/edited/used in some form if at all possible:

Monash University (informally Monash), is a public university based in Melbourne, Victoria. It was founded in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the state, although is the youngest member of Australia's Group of Eight. The university is also a member of the ASAIHL. In 2010, Monash was ranked 61st in the world by the QS World University Rankings.[2]

Monash enrols just under 60,000 students, including approximately 16,500 postgraduate students and approximately 21,000 international students,[4] making it the largest university in Australia .

The university’s research and coursework programs are provided through ten faculties: Art & Design, Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences, Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and Science. The university is also home to research facilities and centres such as Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), the Monash University Wind Tunnel Facility, the Australian Stem Cell Centre, the Centre for Electron Microscopy, the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute and the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories.

Monash encompasses eight campuses: six in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Berwick, Peninsula, Parkville and Gippsland), one in Malaysia and one in South Africa.[8] The university also has a research and teaching centre in Prato, Italy[9] and a joint research academy with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) in Mumbai, India.[10] .

Please create a new account so we can work this out. This time please follow WP:UN. CTJF83 02:38, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Note especially that, for esoteric copyright reasons that make my head hurt, each user name must be used by only one person. If I understand the situation correctly, this user name is for the media team of Monash University? If each of you who is editing could create a separate user name, that would be fantastic. Thanks, Danger (talk) 02:44, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
