Kia Niro[edit]

Hello, you have incorrectly reverted my edit on the Kia Niro page.

My edit was:

"2016–" ---> "2016–present" for the production which is fairly standard practice.
"2017–: --> "2017–2022" for the model year as the first gen Niro will be last sold as a 2022 MY in North America which uses model years instead of production year, 2023 MY will be second gen[1]. Alawadhi3000 (talk) 21:26, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Alawadhi3000, you're totally right, I read your edit too quickly. I recently reverted an edit on the French Wikipedia that was implying the first generation production ended/will end in 2022. When I distractly saw your edit while I was eating my tarte au citron, I thought it was the same type of situation (which is obvisouly not the case, I'm just dumb). I'm sincerely sorry ! Thanks for your edits. Monettt (talk) 21:34, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It happens sometimes, all good, keep up the good work. Cheers. Alawadhi3000 (talk) 21:39, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Red cars on green backgrounds[edit]

Images of red cars parked on green backgrounds (or indeed any red object on a green background, or vice versa) often have poor contrast from the perspective of colourblind readers. Where another suitable image is available which does not pose this issue the images with the red-green clashing issue should be avoided. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 17:28, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,
I don't know why you're sending me this message as I'm not the one who reverted back to the "red on green background" Twingo. I agree with you (I often change images with poor contrast like grey cars on grey backgrounds, but I sometimes forget the red on green thing).
I initially changed the picture of the Twingo because the one I upload was showing a vehicle in a better conition and the picture quality was better overall. I get that it can be bad for some readers, that's why I didn't reverted your edit when you reverted mine.
However, I think you should try to find a better quality image than the blue Twingo (as I change it because it wasn't optimal). It should prevent other users to revert back to the image I uploaded (the red on green background one). It would make your edits more understandable by other contributors.
Have a good day, Monettt (talk) 17:38, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I may have misread the contents of the diffs. My apologies if that's the case. I tend to get confused by them recently. Having gone over the various options on Commons I am unsure if there are any better mark one Twingo images than the blue one. It could do with being cropped but I am unsure what the best way to do that while complying with Commons policy is. The blue Twingo image has good contrast and lacks distracting reflections, which are major issues with many other images. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 17:43, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, don't worry !
I took a look at commons, I'm very surprised by the lack of options for this very common vehicle ! I will try to add a picture when I will spot a nice exemplary in the streets.
I found this image, do you think it could suit ? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:1997_Renault_Twingo_1.15.jpg Monettt (talk) 18:05, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My two concerns with that image is that the reflections in the dark paint somewhat obscure the location of the door handle at thumbnail size, and also the side shown does not include the fuel filler door. Otherwise that is largely fine and I wouldn't oppose its use. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 20:03, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, I agree with you about the shadow. However, I think it's still better than the previous one (which has in my opinion bigger flaws : quality of the image and condition of the vehicle). I will change it, but watch for a better one.
Don't hesitate to reach out to me if at time I inadvertently add a picture with poor contrast or red on green/green on red. Monettt (talk) 20:44, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Footnotes and references[edit]

Hi there.. while the notes you added to car Sales sections regarding Europe are appreciated, adding them as references isn't the best way to do it. Rather, you should use Template:Efn, then Template:Notelist where you want the notes to go - either below the Sales table, or in a "Notes" section above References. --Vossanova o< 15:41, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Vossanova! Thanks for your message, I didn't knew of this functionality. I just tried to apply it on the SEAT Arona page, but it doesn't seem to work. Could you please do it on this page for me as an example, and I will then apply it to the other pages I've edited ? Many thanks. Monettt (talk) 18:48, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like you just needed to use notelist-lr instead of notelist, because you used efn-lr. That page looks okay to me now. --Vossanova o< 19:26, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect, and thanks again for your time ! Have a nice day. Monettt (talk) 19:33, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Citroen C5 Aircross in Kaluga[edit]

Hello,

I am looking into this matter. It is a very serious matter and it can lead to government investigations, I have some sources of information like governor himself, do you have other sources providing additional information? OrangeLark64 (talk) 22:50, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I don't know anything else than these two Reuters articles :

https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/russian-company-starts-citroen-production-former-stellantis-factory-2024-03-27/
And the Russian company corporate website, claiming large scale production of the vehicle was launched in Kaluga late March :
