Notice

The article Jerome Epstein (director) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Dylan | ✉   16:52, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jimmy Webb, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alcohol. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Spartacus (film) into Kirk Douglas. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 12:41, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Gold hat (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No matter the result of the RFD for Gold Hat, this will always be a {{one other topic}} situation where hatnotes can handle the job fine. A DAB page is unneeded here.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 01:47, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking for Gold Hat, the actual hats, and was not able to find it. And having "Gold Hat" lead to a line from "The Treasure of Sierra Madre" is really stretching it. I feel without the disambiguation notice, people will not find Golden Hats. Furthermore, "Berlin Gold Hat" should be added to the disambiguation notice. Shouldn't the idea be to help people find what they are looking for? Montju (talk) 02:06, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a movie that starred Burt Reynolds, who was the Top Box Office Star in North America five years in a row, and Julie Christie, who won a Best Actress Oscar and was nominated three other times in a 42 year period. How can the film not be significant? Montju (talk) 20:29, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information on the Ramrod[edit]

I'm currently working on a rewrite of The New York Times and have started going through The Times: How the Newspaper of Record Survived Scandal, Scorn, and the Transformation of Journalism by Adam Nagourney. The "Winners and Sinners" chapter briefly goes over the Times's coverage of the attack and references a Fresh Air interview in 1982 comparing it with the 1980 Paris synagogue bombing. Of interest to you if you're interested. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 06:18, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll check it for information that will be relevant to the article. Montju (talk) 13:01, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Night of the Hunter (1991 film)[edit]
