Your request to usurp a username[edit]

Hello, Moonmedia1, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you recently put in a request to usurp, or take over a previously-registered, inactive, username. However, the name to which you want your account to change has not been registered, so there is no need for a bureaucrat to take over an account. Instead, they can simply rename your account, so I have moved your request to Wikipedia:Changing username, or WP:CHU, for Wikipedia shorthand. Check that page for the progress on your request. If the request is granted, you'll notice you won't be able to login with this account anymore, but with the new one. See that page for more instructions. Let me know if you need any help! —Mr. E. Sorry to bother you again, but...[edit]

... You need to go to the WP:CHU page and provide a reason as why you want to rename. I took a brief look into your contributions, and it seems you are promoting yourself. This may be a quick fail-criteria for your re-name. Nevertheless, please give a rationale behind your re-naming. Thanks. —Mr. E. A tag has been placed on Pat Mooney(DjPaq) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. —Mr. E. Changing username[edit]

Hello. A bureaucrat or clerk has responded to your username change request, but requires clarification before moving forward. Please follow up as soon as possible. Thank you. –Juliancolton | Talk 17:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Pat Mooney(DjPaq), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pat Mooney(DjPaq). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Pickbothmanlol 22:32, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request at WP:CHU or WP:CHU/U has been declined[edit]

Hello, there! I am sorry to notify you that a bureaucrat has declined your request to change or take over a username. The reason for the decline of your request can be found at the appropriate requests page (depending on whether your requested to change your username or usurp someone else's). Please consider the advice provided by the clerk(s) or bureaucrat(s) that worked on your request before making another request. If you have any questions, please let me or the closing bureaucrat know. Thank you for your request, and thanks for using Wikipedia! —Mr. E. Sánchez (that's me!)What I Do / What I Say 00:57, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Username blocked[edit]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. You have violated one or more of our rules, including rules against adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, using Wikipedia for promotion, and editing inappropriately with a conflict of interest. This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia's policies. Although Wikipedia has a great many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals here, you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
