Welcome!

Hello MovGP0, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  - UtherSRG (talk) 12:28, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for greeting me. But indeed I'm a Wikipedian since a year and know all the basics. I'm working on the german Wikipedia and I've registered myself here and on Meta only to syncronice some of the activity here with activities in the german Wikipedia, the DataWiki Project, and in the semantic Wiki Project (Project on Meta).

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lisa Batey, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not edit the comments of others, as you did in this AFD when you grayed out the comments by others [1] which you considered to be "unimportant." Edison 19:15, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  1. I'm not a newbie - In fact, I contributed longer than yourself. I'm just working mostly on the german wikipedia, but know the rules well.
  2. Normally I wouldn't never manipulate user statements. In that case it was just fair. You have to know that as Lisa's fans heard about the article, they tried to manipulate the results by creating new accounts and vote against the deletion. This didn't looked like a good thing to me, so I've greyed the comments of the single-purpose accounts out. I won't do that with the other statements.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience. MovGP0 12:58, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Particle chart.svg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Particle chart.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:29, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Particle chart.svg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Particle chart.svg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? J Milburn (talk) 18:54, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'You can use it on Wikipedia' is not good enough, I'm afraid. Until this is released under a free license or into the public domain, we can not use it. We aim to have content that can be freely reused- content that has been granted for use only here does not meet with our goals. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any queries. J Milburn (talk) 21:09, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. But I just have converted Image:Particle chart.jpg into svg. It might be better to discuss with User:Rmrfstar (or User:Fogger?) about this first to clarify the copyrights issues. MovGP0 (talk) 21:45, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:KB Maltron 3D US.svg[edit]

File:KB Maltron 3D US.svg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:KB Maltron 3D US.svg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:KB Maltron 3D US.svg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 00:24, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stub tags[edit]

Stub tags go at the end of the article, after everything except inter-language links - see WP:ORDER. I wonder why you moved the one in Star Citizen from the right place to the wrong place? PamD 23:24, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Seems to be a difference in the german and the english Wikipedia MovGP0 (talk) 11:02, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Concurrent computing, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CSharp (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:27, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Enterprise Integration Patterns.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Enterprise Integration Patterns.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Adenine (programming language)[edit]

The article Adenine (programming language) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yaron K.
