Cerithium[edit]

Hello, you are doing good work on Cerithium articles. But you have probably accidentally copied only one but a copyrighted sentence to the article Cerithium nodulosum [1]. Rare Disease day[edit]

The article John V. Soto has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

Needle (film)[edit]

Thank you for adding a plot summary to Needle (film). Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia rather than a review or fan site, it is best to include the full details rather than a teaser. The trailer seems to suggest Marais is the killer, but I have not seen the film so I am not sure. - 2/0 (cont.) 07:15, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure if I should state who is the killer and why. From How_to_write_a_plot_summary#Spoilers:Wikipedia should contain potentially "spoiling" detail where it substantially enhances the reader's understanding of the work and its impact but be omitted when it merely ruins the experience of the work of fiction for our readers. I would classify this as an important plot point that someone accessing an encyclopedia rather than a review site would expect to find, but I can see where you are coming from. Guild of Copy Editors July 2012 backlog elimination drive mid-drive newsletter

Participation: Out of 37 people signed up for this drive so far, 25 have copy-edited at least one article. It's a smaller group than last drive, but we're making good progress. If you've signed up but haven't yet copy-edited any articles, every bit helps; if you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us!

Progress report: We're almost on track to meet our targets for the drive. Great work, guys. We have reduced our target group of articles—May, June, and July 2011—by about 40%, and the overall backlog has been reduced by 264 articles so far, to around 2500 articles.

GOCE July drive wrap-up[edit]

Guild of Copy Editors July 2012 backlog elimination drive wrap-up

Participation: Out of 45 people who signed up this drive, 31 have copy-edited at least one article. Lfstevens continues to carry most of the weight, having edited 360 articles and over a quarter of a million words already. Thanks to all who have participated! Final results, including barnstars awarded, will be available early in August here.

Progress report: We are once again very close to achieving in our primary goal—removing the oldest three months from the backlog. Only 35 such articles remain at press time. The total backlog currently sits at under 2400 articles, down from 8323 when we started out over two years ago. We are just two articles away from completing all requests made before July 2012 (both are in progress).
