Updating caps and stats[edit]

Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:03, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bernard Parker[edit]

Hi there. I'm sorry I had to revert the work you put in at Bernard Parker. Here are the issues that made me revert your changes:

  • [1] – 1. Per discussions at WP:FOOTY – that's the community of editors of football articles on Wikipedia – the infobox should include only league appearances and goals. 2. When we update these numbers, we also need to update the timestamps (see details in the section above titled "Updating caps and stats").
  • [2] – 1. "played" is inaccurate as Parker is still contracted to Kaizer Chiefs until the end of the month. 2. Generally, when we make additions ("After spending over a decade at Naturena") they need to come with a reference; see WP:Verify and WP:Referencing for beginners for details.

Don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else that needs clarification. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:59, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
