If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Characters in Rayman Origins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Thank you for your edits to the Harter Middle School Wikipedia page. You've done solid work here, especially if you're of an age to be a student of KH middle school. It's entirely possible that the article mentioned above will be deleted or redirected, because on Wikipedia common practice is that schools below the high school level are generally not deemed notable enough for their own page, unless multiple independent reliable sources demonstrate the school's unusually strong notability. (If you are aware of such sources, ask for help and we can apply them.) Note that Kaneland High School in Maple Park does have its own article. Not every school gets an encyclopedia article; in fact most don't.
The reason I'm taking this time to compliment you and explain our procedures is that I didn't want these first experiences to discourage you from further participating on Wikipedia. Don't give up. You have some ability as a writer and you've put together sizable and somewhat complex pagespace. You have every reason to be proud of that effort. I'd like to suggest you consider improving List of characters in Rayman, which is similar in subject matter to the first page you created. There are many other pages you may wish to edit. My early experience here was to work on "stubs", small articles which need help and which many people don't notice. This list shows six stubs just in the Rayman series and you can see almost 15,000 video game stubs which could use good eyes and enthusiasm. (Just for the record, my teenaged child attends school an hour's drive from Sugar Grove, and I'm thinking of how she'd feel if her work was removed...) Don't be overly discouraged. I've seen adult wikipedians who don't write as well as you. Good luck, and happy editing. Please keep contributing. If you do wish to continue, please feel free to call on me or others for any assistance I can provide. BusterD (talk) 01:33, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Warning to Editors[edit]

I am just going to warn everyone right now, my new article, Priscilla the Great, is not anywhere close to being finished. So, I will write again when it is, to be checked for the Wiki requirements. Thanks. MsPitchCatch (talk) 14:04, 22 April 2012 (UTC)MsPitchCatchMsPitchCatch (talk) 14:04, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MsPitchCatch.. I added some things to the article on Priscilla the Great. I don't know if it'll be notable, but I added some references which will help. If you can find more, that would be great! I also changed the lede section a bit to move the plot and story to that section and kept the lede about the series itself.
I'm not sure, but it seems like an article about the author would be good, too. She might not be notable for Wikipedia, but if enough articles about her can be found, it might just go.  :) Wikipelli Talk 14:55, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Priscilla the Great has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An article on a CreateSpace book series, with notability queried for the past 10 years. The listed awards do not appear notable and lack independent verification, the given references are dead, and appear to have been local coverage about the author more than the particular books. Searches find a passing mention of the author and the books in a local event listing and Goodreads listings etc., but I am not seeing evidence that the series or its individual books meet the notability criteria.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
