Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:34, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rklawton[edit]

Thank you Rklawton! I will definately review the articles you listed. I appreciate everyone's patience during my "learn curve". And please feel free to call me "Mark". Best Regards--Mt6617 (talk) 17:11, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mark - I'm glad to help. There are lots of resources here to help you out, but always feel free to give me a shout. Rklawton (talk) 18:43, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fear of Flying[edit]

I'll be happy to help. I recommend that you start with making a list of problems - each one under its own header in the article's talk page. In that way everyone can discuss the problems individually as needed. By the way, I like your idea of renaming the article. Rklawton (talk) 17:27, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.... I will start making a list this weekend! --Mt6617 (talk) 17:54, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have made some suggestions. The problem is that this particular talk page appears to be "slow". Will see what happens. Thanks again.--Mt6617 (talk) 18:48, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I made suggestions, but there is ZERO response. This article is down right false. I want to edit it, but don't want someone coming in behind me and just deleting my work. I am trying to do it the right way. I am begging for guidance of others. Do you have any other suggstions?--Mt6617 (talk) 00:52, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

February 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Pteromerhanophobia. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Macedonian (talk) 07:12, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prior to sending me a message, and prior to undoing my work, did you look at the "talk" page for this article. My reasons were there. Also this is "original research" which, unless I read it wrong is not allowed. I am restoring my work. Thank You. --Mt6617 (talk) 01:55, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That was just a note to inform you that you must specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits when removing content. Macedonian (talk) 04:57, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Apologising, just saw article's talk page. As Rklawton points, that was an appropriate removal, only please remember to always specify a reason in the edit summary. Thanks! Macedonian (talk) 05:09, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In this case the removal was appropriate as the information came from an unreliable source promoting "cures". Rklawton (talk) 03:23, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.... I am trying to do what is right and correct. This subject (Fear of Flying) is important because there are so many "myths" and "fake cures" out there. That truly take advantage. Also there needs to be more reliable research, and that only begins if we have a reliable article. Thank you again! --Mt6617 (talk) 02:52, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

I am DESPERATELY trying to improve this article. I appreciate your input and deletion if you felt it was necessary. However, can you help me improve the article??? I am very knowledgeable about the subject. And the link you deleted is NOT a commercial site. It does not even accept donations. So why did you delete it? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me improve the article. --Mt6617 (talk) 03:32, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Pteromerhanophobia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 03:34, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:EL, we avoid linking to forums. Please remember that we're writing encyclopedia articles. Any link or source we use should come from reliable sources or recognized authorities on the subject. Forums simply do not qualify. I've warned you specifically about this link in the article's talk page, and yet you've persisted in re-adding it. That sort of behavior, if it persists, will get you r account blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you care about this subject, then take the time to read the links we've provided, and ask questions when you're in doubt. Rklawton (talk) 03:41, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. I will discontinue adding anything to the article, and will only make comments on the "talk" page. However, you need to know that this article in it's current format is misleading, and false. I and others have cited why. If Wikipedia is not going to have an accurate article, then the article should be removed until a proper and correct format, with reliable information can be presented. To allow it to stay in it's current condition violates all the reasons you have cited --Mt6617 (talk) 03:52, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, please do not accuse me of spamming. From what I understand, "good faith efforts" are suppose to be observed here. I do not consider making horrible accusations of a person as "good faith efforts". I am not a spammer. I may not be an expert at this, but I do know for sure I am not a spammer. Additionally could you please explain this that you wrote:

"Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings."

I do not understand what you are trying to tell me. Thank You.--Mt6617 (talk) 20:36, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In case you're still wondering, a "nofollow" tag is just some coding that disallows internal links from being aggregated by Google or another search engine. Basically, a spammer will try to promote and drive traffic to their website by adding the URL to as many sites on the internet as possible. The more links they have that Google finds, the higher the website appears in Google's search results, which then drives more traffic to it. The "nofollow" tag prevents Google from grabbing links from Wikipedia, so it basically makes adding links for the purpose of spamming pointless. Night Ranger (talk) 03:31, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Night Ranger for the explanation. I had asked someone in our IT Department what he was talking about, and they said the same thing.--Mt6617 (talk) 03:52, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fear of Flying References[edit]

On the talk page for Fear of Flying, I have added some articles to possibly use in the development of the article. If someone could review them and let me know if they would be acceptable in restructuring the article, it would be appreciated. Thank you --Mt6617 (talk) 21:52, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of discussion at the Administrators' Noticeboard[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. CharlieEchoTango (contact) 02:36, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contact info[edit]

You should reconsider the contact information you added to that article talk page... the internet is full of unsavoury people and you'll open yourself up to unwanted and unexpected telephone calls. Night Ranger (talk) 03:06, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I went to remove it as I felt if the intended person wanted to call it they would. Then I noticed it was "redacted". Do I need to do anything more? And if you are the one that did that.... Thank you.--Mt6617 (talk) 03:40, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, I didn't redact it but someone else clearly did. That's a standard practice here. I don't think you need to do anything else. Night Ranger (talk) 03:47, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it--pretty standard practice, for privacy reasons. Take it easy, Drmies (talk) 03:52, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Drmies... And I will!--Mt6617 (talk) 03:53, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I sign them.... what more can I do??? --Mt6617 (talk) 02:32, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another 'drive-by' visitor to your talk page here :-) This is probably because you forgot to sign your first post in the ANI thread you opened (now closed). SineBot is an automated program that trawls Wikipedia looking for missing signatures. When it finds one it adds it, then reminds the poster. It's intended to be helpful but if you find it annoying (as I've done in the past when I sometimes forgot) you can opt out by adding {{NoAutosign}} to the page code somewhere. Probably this is best at the very top of the page, where its less likely to get lost, archived or otherwise interfered with by editors posting new messages for you. Hope this helps - if you have any questions, let me know! EyeSerenetalk 11:30, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your clear explanation. That makes sense. --Mt6617 (talk) 00:27, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback[edit]

Hey MT, what seems to be the trouble? If you'd like, tell me about it on my Talk Page and I may be able to give you a hand.

--Non-Dropframe talk 03:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I responded to your question on your talk page as suggested. However, everything is resolved. I was wrong. Thank you. --Mt6617 (talk) 00:28, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure[edit]

I'm glad I could help you. It seems you've found a way to be constructive and improve the article. Certainly asking for citations, deleting unreferenced controversial claims and discussing on the talk page is good. Night Ranger (talk) 02:56, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Overview of complex with memorial.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Overview of complex with memorial.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:05, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Zimmerman arrest and hearing[edit]

An editor said they lived in the area of the incident. Was that you? And if so, are you WP's eyes and ears at upcoming hearings etc.? Well done! ```Buster Seven Talk 21:19, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I do live in the area, and if the consensus is that they need someone there, I will be happy to oblige.--Mt6617 (talk) 00:32, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Mark-omara-rpress-conference-600x401.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 01:41, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete it. I honestly thought it was okay. I will try to find something that is acceptable. Again... I am very sorry.--Mt6617 (talk) 02:01, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded the photo because I honestly thought it was not a violation. I sincerely apologize. Please delete the photo, and I will try to find something else. I am very sorry. --Mt6617 (talk) 01:59, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, we all had to learn but it does take some time to understand image copyright fully. You may find it useful to read my image copyright information page that I wrote for editors like you. It will deleted in due course. ww2censor (talk) 02:35, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Ratl2.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ratl2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 07:00, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I created the image by using older photos which have no exact source. However if you feel it needs to be deleted, please feel free to do so. Since it is not a current image, we can't use it in the article. Thank you. --Mt6617 (talk) 16:25, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Neighborhood Watch sign[edit]

Hi. In your picture of the north entrance to The Retreat at Twin Lakes, there is a blue neighborhood watch sign that is barely visible on a pole just to the right of the entrance. Here's what it looks like in another picture I found on the internet[1]. It looks like the photographer held his camera high above his head to get the picture. A picture of the sign that is big enough to read and shows the entrance gate, like the picture I linked to, might be useful. Regards, --Bob K31416 (talk) 23:29, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Bob, So sorry... I missed this somehow! Sure I will be happy to make a photo of the sign. I will be back in the Sanford area later this week and will swing by. Once again, didn't mean to overlook your request!--Mt6617 (talk) 16:21, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. : ) I would have used the picture at the link if not for copyright. It is just the type of picture of the sign that is big enough to read and the entrance to The Retreat at Twin Lakes, that would work well in the section. --Bob K31416 (talk) 16:51, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
