Preconstructed Theme Decks[edit]

Hi, thanks for reaching out. That's a good suggestion, I've added a reference to the intro pack section and clarified it a bit, although you may be surprised to learn that when drafting, your deck can be as low as 40 cards! https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-academy/feeling-draft-introduction-40-card-decks-2006-12-30 Either way, I don't think that's the place to get too bogged down on deck size details.

Just to set the record straight, it's not "my" article, if you have other ideas on how to improve it, you may do so yourself. I do have some suggested links that might help.

WP:COPYLINK: You mentioned that you're concerned about copyright issues, but I don't believe there's anything in that page that should cause concern.

WP:LISTS: Some basic info about how lists work on Wikipedia. One of the nice things about having this list here is it's centralized and keeps the precon decklists off of the individual set pages.

WP:MTG: A wikiproject for editing MTG stuff.

I hope to see you around! -- Norvy (talk) 04:53, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The way it was worded in the article made it seem like 40/41 card decks were part of the intro pack, with one pack included. Maybe some clarification on that 40 card decks are used for draft/sealed would help. (I play sealed sometimes, pre release usually) MtgLord23 (talk) 12:38, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Norvy Wow there were 41 cards in an intro pack way back then. That's interesting. Also thanks for sourcing that, otherwise (like I did already) people who didn't play during that block (like me) would be like "no, a deck is 60 cards, not 41".
