Your draft article, Draft:Gieschen Jewelers[edit]

Hello, Mtsuzuki. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Gieschen Jewelers".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 10:36, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your chonology articles[edit]

Howdy hello! I see that you are creating pretty ginormous lists of historical events. Alas, that is unlikely to get approved or used, since it appears to be copies of existing lists just made into a single page that is too large to navigate reasonably. In fact, I tried to load your sandbox, and its so big that it took my computer more than 10 whole seconds to load it, which means it is way, way, waaaaay too big. You efforts are appreciated, but I think they may be misdirected. You might wish to improve the accuracy and sourcing of existing lists of historical events. That or you might be interested in learning how to use WP:Wikidata, which is probably better suited to the sort of data heavy, completionist type edits you're making. But alas, Wikipedia are not indiscriminate collections of information, as we must have utility to our readers. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 23:38, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@CaptainEek:Wow. I didn't know you could see that. Thank you for trying to save me a ton of wasted work! I do appreciate that. But I'm actually working toward a specific goal. I don't intend to submit these draft lists. The lists are actually a very large first step toward a different contribution, which is in turn going to be the first phase to an even greater ultimate goal that, God-willing, will be a game-changer when it comes to world history. In other words, don't worry about me trying to submit these. They are just drafts that will never see publication. Thank you!Mtsuzuki (talk) 01:02, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mtsuzuki, Ah, well in that case we can't have them either. Wikipedia is not a webhost, and having non-encycloepdia related material wastes server space. You should probably find another place to store the material, either in a word document, or another website. I'll give you a week to move stuff somewhere new before I will need to put things up for deletion :) CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 01:06, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@CaptainEek:What I mean is that these lists are an integral part of a huge special surprise contribution that I am making toward Wikipedia. And even though I disagree on the point about them being non-encyclopedia related (as they are sourced directly from Wikipedia), I understand completely that these draft lists are not something that would be published on Wikipedia since they're apparently too long for the system to load properly. At any rate, please give me a month, rather, to allow enough time to complete the project, at least for the sake of academia.Mtsuzuki (talk) 01:24, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mtsuzuki, A surprise contribution? It would be better if you could just state what you're doing, as then the pages might get preserved. Also, I'm afraid I can only give you a week. That's actually quite generous, technically some of them could be deleted immediately. As a heads up, I will be putting the pages up for deletion, which means that the pages will get tagged. 7 days after being tagged they will likely be deleted. You have until then to move the content. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 03:45, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@CaptainEek:I see. For future reference on other projects, is it only the length of my drafts that is the cause for deletion, or is it something else? I can't imagine it's the content, since every day of the year has its own timeline page on Wikipedia. And could you cite the specific part of policy? I've not done much with Wikipedia before. Thank you!Mtsuzuki (talk) 04:02, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mtsuzuki, For userspace content, see What may I have in my user pages?. Otherwise, the policy is WP:NOTWEBHOST. In general, the size is one factor. But the fact that the pages are not intended for general use is the main cause. Also, because it basically duplicating existing content. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 04:11, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
