Hey, I see you do most of the writing for the 2014 Boston College Eagles football team article; I do most of the writing for the corresponding Penn State article. I generally do a lot of work on bowl articles, and was wondering if you would be interested in collaborating on the 2014 Pinstripe Bowl article ... I generally like to follow the structure I used in these good articles: 2012 New Mexico Bowl 2012 Hawaii Bowl 2013 Cotton Bowl Classic. Feel free to help out if you'd like! Thanks. Go Phightins! 00:14, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Adding content[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to wikipedia like the Jets–Patriots rivalry. Please try and make sure everything you add is sourced though. Enough RS papers and websites cover the games, it shouldn't be a problem finding sources to put up with the game's stats. Nothing should ever be added to wikipedia without an RS used as a ref - Galatz (talk) 22:38, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please make sure you source your content. You just added more content to the article, put it before the reference that was there, yet it is not found in that source. Please fix - Galatz (talk) 04:27, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I also suggest you take a look at WP:OR and WP:OLINK. As I mentioned all information must be sourced. A lot of information you added was your personal view of it, but it shouldn't include your original research, it must be sourced from an RS. Additionally an an internal link is only used the first time its mentioned. There is no need to link Rex Ryan in the article as that already has been linked. - Galatz (talk) 04:40, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge[edit]

You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here!

Stanley Cup playoffs 2021[edit]

That’s technically true, but the Jets scored 3 goals in a 3 minute span, 10 minutes later. You might want to clarify that Mastergerwe97 (talk) 06:15, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mastergerwe97: You're perfectly welcome to add that information if you feel so inclined. I just reverted the change that was incorrect. Mushh94 (talk) 06:21, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I also have a problem with Deadman. I do not get along with him at all. I’m always arguing with him, he thinks I know nothing about editing, and he’s a huge jerk. Mastergerwe97 (talk) 06:34, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mastergerwe97: I can see that you have had issues with many users concerning your editing practices. I would suggest that if you have a disagreement with someone, start a new section in the talk page and discuss it there, rather than continually engaging in edit wars (where you revert each other back and forth). Also, read up on the site rules and Wiki etiquette. As I told you in April during the NCAA tournament, there are standards which dictate how the encyclopedia is run. Also, I see that you were temporarily banned for personal attacks, I wouldn't keep that up if you want to continue to edit. You don't have to agree with other users, but insulting them is not necessary at all, or acceptable. Mushh94 (talk) 07:08, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-NCAA Tournament Timeline[edit]

There is no one source. I've had to check and cross-reference everything pre-1947 on my own. I used the school yearbook and newspaper archives. If you follow the same route I took, it will probably take you a while to finish. Fortunately, Springfield College makes everything available online so you would at least be able to find it if you're so inclined.PensRule11385 (talk) 05:25, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well, I was hoping it wouldn't have to go deep diving into record books but if I every get the motivation at some point at least I know its out there. Thanks for the reply! Mushh94 (talk) 08:31, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Charlie Holt Team Sportsmanship Award, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:07, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Very well, I added the same archived and dead link the other Hockey East Awards articles reference, such as Hockey East Scoring Champion and Bob Kullen Coach of the Year Award. I didn't realize the official source - let alone the one and only working link - wouldn't be sufficient. If that doesn't make it meet WP:GNG, then none of the others do, either. I've resubmitted the draft with articles mentioning a team winning that year's award. But just FYI, there are no secondary sources that compile a list of award winners.
The citations I initially added are consistent with the other Hockey East Awards articles that exist, such as Hockey East Player of the Year, Bob Kullen Coach of the Year Award, Len Ceglarski Award, Hockey East Three-Stars Award, and Hockey East Scoring Champion. All of these articles only cite the primary source and archived or dead links to secondary sources.
If such standards exist for the creation of Charlie Holt article, then the rest of the league's award articles are not reliably sourced either. Mushh94 (talk) 04:27, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mushh94. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Charlie Holt Team Sportsmanship Award".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. plicit 10:47, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
