Help with Verizon FiOS page[edit]

Hello Myriad Pro, Thanks for your help recently with Verizon articles. Earlier this month, I posted a request on the Verizon FiOS Talk page due to an inaccuracy in the lead sentence. Since then, editors have taken out of that sentence that FiOS operates on a fiber optic network. Would you be willing to take a look at my suggestions? Did you archive?[edit]

Hi there, I'm assuming you have a lack of knowledge about this, but you shouldn't be removing on-topic discussions, even if they have been resolved, etc. Vandalism can be removed, but all legitimate talk page content should be archived instead of removed. WP:BLPPRIVACY[edit]

Your restoration of an unsourced birthdate is not constructive because it contravenes WP:BLPPRIVACY. I don't know how I could have made that more clear than "Must be sourced and widely published, per WP:BLPPRIVACY. This is serious and can result in account blocking." In case it's still unclear, please do not submit a birthdate without a reference from a reliable published source, as I will be inclined to block your account otherwise. Reliable sources must (among other factors) have a clear editorial policy and a reputation for fact-checking. There's no indication that this site is anything more than a page-scraper. For all we know, they scraped data from Wikipedia, parsed it, added the subject's astrological sign, blah blah. More reputable sites should be selected. And I think widely published suggests the content should be printed in a number of places. Note also that public records sites are not considered publications. Verizon Wireless and FiOS pages[edit]

Hello, Myriad Pro. You previously expressed interest in the Apps section of the Verizon Wireless page. Last week I posted a proposed update on the Verizon Wireless Talk page. Would you have time to review my suggestions and add them to the live article if they look OK? Additionally, an editor added an "Advertisement" tag to the Verizon FiOS article, specifically mentioning the pricing table. I happen to agree that the pricing table does not belong, but it seems that this editor has more serious concerns and isn't interested in making only this update. Would you be willing to take a look at that article to see about removing the pricing table? Do you think there are other issues that need resolving before the advertising tag could be removed? Verizon FiOS Edits[edit]

Re: Your comment: "First off, most of that was incorrect-- ALL customers received SpeedMatch, and it also was way to long & not needed." The source I quoted was Verizon's own website, so I'm not sure why you felt it was incorrect, and deleted everything without reaching out to discuss it with me first. All of the speed tiers that have since been discontinued have been grandfathered. Existing customers are not forced to sign up for the new tiers. All of the older discontinued tiers were grandfathered as well. (10/2, 15/5, 20/5, 30/5, 20/20, 25/25, 35/35, etc.) If you look at the pages for other ISPs (eg. Comcast Cable) they usually include grandfathered tiers, since it benefits current customers with those tiers as well as provides information about past tiers that were offered for research/information purposes. --Dnywlsh (talk) 17:18, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
