Notre Dame Prep[edit]

Hi! I trust you got my message at Meters's talk page. Hope you've taken some time to read some of the many links that have been thrown at you. Don't worry about absorbing it all. Just keep it around for reference.

I've done a bit more on the school's page, but there remains a lot to do. An "Academics" section should be added directly after the "History" section. In it, there should be a listing of any AP courses the school offers. As long as this is listed without any embellishment, it could be sourced to the school website. Also appropriate in this section would be mention of any academic teams that compete in interscholastic competition. Again, a simple listing of these teams could be sourced to the school. For any achievement they might have, however, a secondary source is required, and we only discuss "ultimate" achievement, most commonly state or national championships. The latest ranking from US News & World Report and/or Newseek can be included here, sourced to the respective magazines. Do not include such things as rankings from Niche.com or Schooldigger.com. They are nothing but popularity polls. Another thing that is sometimes included here is a brief discussion of any course offerings that are unusual or unique enough to have been covered in reliable secondary sources.

An "Athletics" section should be added after the "Demographics" section. It should include a mention of the school's nickname, mascot and colors. If Arizona has athletic conferences, the conference should be mentioned, and winilinked if it has an article. Ideally, the above would be cited to an independent source such as the state high school athletics sanctioning body, but if that isn't possible, citing to the school is acceptable. A listing of sports offered should be included, and that list should specify which sports are offered for girls and for boys, and any that have coed teams. Again, this should be independently sourced, but if that's not possible, the school is ok (but far from ideal). Any sports that are not sanctioned by the state sanctioning body need to indicate what organization sanctions them, and that requires a source. Achievements mentioned must be team achievement (we do not discuss any individual achievement, such as the student that won the state golf tournament. We would only mention that the golf team took states). And again, achievements discussed should be limited to state championships, and must be independently sourced.

An "Arts" section should be right after "Athletics". Here you would list any bands, choirs, theatre programs offered. Existence can be sourced to the school. Achievements, with the same restrictions as above, require independent sources.

If I can help, by all means, hollar! John from Idegon (talk) 05:07, 8 June 2018 (UTC), co-coordinator, WikiProject Schools[reply]
