Conflict of Interest[edit]

Hello NantucketSound. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to you, your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.Canterbury Tail talk 12:29, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Emails about spouses[edit]

Regarding this email.

My name is Howie. I assist Mrs. Roma Downey Burnett.

We would like you to consider relocating the previous spouse information related Mr. Leland Orser to the Personal Life section of her Wikipedia page.

The current placement of "Spouse" on Mrs. Roma Downey's Wikipedia page is unacceptable. We believe this placement is sexist in nature, and is the result of discrimination of her Irish heritage.

Please have it moved to the Personal Life section, and removed from the Bio Summary box.

Thank You,

Howie

Please note that you can contact Wikipedia users via their talk page, or you can discuss items relevant to an article on that article's talk page.

The inclusion of former spouses in the infobox is normal on Wikipedia, and while it's possible that not all articles are using it, it is a normal component to the infobox and is documented under its details. This inclusion has nothing to do with her heritage or is sexist in any manner, it is simply a recitation of verifiable sources. Canterbury Tail talk 12:33, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
