Welcome!

Hello, Napsync, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Chikni chameli, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chikni chameli requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 06:51, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ganesh Acharya has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 08:20, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Stacee Jaxx requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Stacee Jaxx, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. Nomination of Stacee Jaxx for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Stacee Jaxx is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stacee Jaxx until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Bihco (talk) 13:13, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Ganesh Acharya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokyogirl79 (talk) 14:43, 15 January 2012 (UTC)tokyogirl79[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 6[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Stacee jaxx, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rock of Ages (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article This Movie Guy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of WP:notability. Only sources given are facebook a blog and imdb - none of them WP:reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 11:10, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I know that the article has not been merged, that is why I am suggesting it. Someone needs to combine the history of the two articles in order to keep track of the editors' contributions. They can only know to do this if there is a merge tag on the article. If you feel that there are enough citations in the article, then remove the citations tag, but put an explanation in the edit summary so other editors know why you have done it. ... discospinster talk 02:57, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stacee Jaxx[edit]

I really do not see why you are trying to create an article which has been deleted after due process, especially when there is an article on the film in which the character will appear to which you could be adding the content. As per the other Tom Cruise vehicle you made a needless new article about yesterday.TheLongTone (talk) 14:37, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Let's keep this on your talk page, makes life easier. It's on my watchlist, so I'll see any reply. There's an article on the film: add content on that. Apart rom anything else, it means there is one article which people add content to, rather than efforts beings split. he character has no existence other than in this one film as yet, so its not a case like James Bond where there is anything to say about them that cannot be contained in the article on the film. And as I said, the independant article has been deleted once, and since I turned in to a redirect anybody searching for Staycee Jaxx will get to the article. I've nothing against your content, just where you are putting it.TheLongTone (talk) 14:51, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An image or media file,User:Napsync, has been removed from your userpage, user talk page, or other page because it was licensed as non-free. Wikipedia's non-free policy states that Copyrighted images under fair use are only allowed to be used in articles about the subject of the image, and only if no free equivalent is available. For example they are not allowed to be used on user pages, in lists, or (typically) in biographies of living people. As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy. Nevermind the above[edit]

Hey, Napsync, just letting you know that I reverted myself on the speedy deletion above. You're right; it does seem like separate filmography articles are a thing. I had looked at the talk pages and didn't see any discussion of splitting the filmography into a new article, which is why I marked it for deletion. It certainly seems to be a thing, and the list is a long one, so you're probably right to split it. I renamed the page and left some more comments on the talk page. Thanks! Photo removal explanation[edit]

Hello Napsync, I had to eliminate your photo from the Sky Article today. However, I didn't want to do it without an explanation. There was nothing wrong with the beauty of the photo itself. The problem is with its composition, and title. You have cut off the foreground at an odd spot. The foreground needs to be larger in the photo to give it perspective and balance. You can't title it a "Sunset" photo with no setting Sun in the frame. It would be more accurate to name it "The Sky at Twilight", and eliminate even more of the foreground. 50 years ago when I was your age, I started my photography career. I know it hurts when a photo is removed from a Gallery. Perhaps you have other shots taken that same day with better composition, and we can squeeze it in there. If not be patient and wait for the next spectacular blue sky you see and try again. A mostly 'blue sky' photo would fit best in the gallery to show diversity. You're on the right track. My best wishes for you, should you decide to pursue photography; whether for Hobby or Career. Sincerely, Jessie Eastland. Pocketthis (talk) 18:53, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I noticed that you attempted to file a deletion discussion (on the article Om International School) but did not complete the process. Please note that, when listing an article for deletion, a discussion page needs to be made for other users to discuss whether to keep or delete the article. This is typically done by following the steps listed here. Note that if you are editing as an unregistered user, you cannot create a discussion page. File permission problem with File:NipsLogoTemp.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:NipsLogoTemp.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (tc) 20:48, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article David James (photographer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It's been six years and still no sources. Time to delete.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☆ Bri (talk) 03:16, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:NIPSBLUELOGOAUGUST2014.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NIPSBLUELOGOAUGUST2014.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also:

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
