The article itself is not necessarily inappropriate, provided that it satisfies the notability criteria at Wikipedia:Notability (music). The problem arises if the article is autobiographical (see Wikipedia:Autobiography) or if its creator has a conflict of interest (see: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest). If neither of these applies to this article, and the subject satisfies the notability criteria, there's nothing inappropriate about the article. It was the similarity between the name of the subject of the article and your username that altered me to the possible problem.

As well, in case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button

The article is in fact autobiographical. After reading the guidelines, I was under the impression that if the content were factual or neutral in nature, then an autobiographical article was not objectionable. With the three solo commercial recordings and distinction in several national and international music competitions, I believe the notability requirement for submission is satisfied. Nonetheless, if I have misunderstood the guidelines and have submitted an inappropraite article, I have no objection to its being deleted. Thank you. Naroth 16:41, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That an article about you exists is not at all inappropriate; in fact, it's desirable, because I'd say at first blush that you easily meet the notability requirements. The problem is who should write the article: that's where the Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest problems arise.

Give me some time to find some secondary sources, and I'll take a crack at rewriting the article from scratch, so as to avoid running afoul of Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. How's that?

If you have time, please consider looking at Wikipedia's Music Portal to see if you'd be interested in contributing to anything in the list of topics.
