Curtis Jones[edit]

The fact that you accumulated enough edits to create pages yourself after working on a draft and submitting it to the AFC queue still does not give you the right to just pull it out of the AFC queue and move it yourself — once you have placed it in the AFC queue, it has to move through the AFC process properly regardless of what other privileges you've gained since submitting it. It takes just ten edits to gain page creation status, and any editor (even a bad faith one) can achieve that that in less than one minute — so if graduating to page-creation abilities meant you were suddenly allowed to pull your own prior work back out of the AFC review queue and just move it yourself, that would completely defeat the entire purpose of AFC even existing at all. Nobody would ever actually have to leave their drafts in the review queue anymore, if all they had to do was make ten random mainspace edits and then immediately come back and move their draft themselves. Trust that I didn't do any of what you're talking about here maliciously. I figured if I was not prevented from creating pages I could create pages. It's a confusing and discouraging process for a relatively new user just trying to contribute. thanks Narsk (talk) 21:35, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
