Speedy deletion of Clarendon Market Common[edit]
A tag has been placed on Clarendon Market Common, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Proposed deletion of Scientific teaching[edit]
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Scientific teaching, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

The reason I have put a Proposed Deletion notice on your page Scientific teaching is that it seems you are planning to use it as part of a teaching exercise. This may give rise to problems because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and, although anyone may contribute, there are strict standards for what sort of articles are acceptable; and also because any editor may edit any article; you cannot require that your page is edited only by the members of your summer school. Experience has shown that although use of Wikipedia in a teaching context can be useful it needs to be carefully prepared, and the nature of Wikipedia fully understood by those in charge, if the experience is not to be frustrating and unsatisfactory both for those involved and for other Wikipedia editors who have to clear up. For further information, please look at the guideline School and University Projects, as well as the general guidelines linked from the Welcome paragraph above. I am sorry to seem unwelcoming, but Wikipedia is not a web-hosting service; if what you want is a "private" project page which the members of your summer school can edit collaboratively without outside interference, you should look for another web host. - If your intention is that the eventual output should be a Wikipedia article, one possibility would be to set up a subpage in your user space - e.g. type "User:Nashpaul/Scientific teaching" in the search box, or whatever title you choose, as long as it starts "User:Nashpaul/ " - see WP:User page for more detail. Then the members of your group could work on a draft there, without it being subject to editing by "outsiders", and when complete it could be moved into article space. Status and Advice[edit]
As reviewing administrator, I have had to delete this article, and also the article on the Elizabeth Jones award, because of the extent to which they have been copied form the pages at the GSA site.
You must not copy from a web site, even one with which you are affiliated -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you you can arrange for the material to be licensed according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable.
The Beadle article, for example, talked a little to much about his career--it's covered in the article on him; in the other direction, the Jones article gave no context.
In addition, a Wikipedia article needs to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. That the prize was given to eminent people is not quite enough: there needs to be some sources--preferably from outside the Society . What is ideally wanted is some sort of third party statement that the award is the major national award in the field--even though you may understandably think it obvious.
What I'd suggest, is that you instead =-- or also -- write article on those to whom the award has been given, but who do not currently have articles. And even Jones, who is certainly highly notable, does not have a page.
Please check the other articles you've written on genetics prizes to ensure that nothing in them is copied either--neither directly copied nor Close paraphrase,

Hello. Your recent edit to University School of Nashville appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline.
