The best test of archival optical disks was done by US Navy D O D China Lake lab herein. This 75 page report is worth reading. The US test was done at 85 degrees C [185 F ] The French Lab test was at 90 degrees C [194 F ] The French lab's thinking was the the "Syylex" co. glass disks could handle the higher temp. The Mdisc s are made from Polycarbonate. To understand these temperatures: Beef Steak which is cooked "Well Done" - brown in the center reaches 165 degrees F. Arizona State Univ. Lab tests of the dangers of kids in cars in the hot summer sun find 157 degrees F on the dashboard [Arizona Republic newspaper June 2018] So the French test is inaccurate.
