Some ideas for ways you can contribute to Wikipedia[edit]
I got your earlier message on my talk page. I know Wikipedia can be a confusing place at first - there's a huge tangle of policies, pages, and community guidelines - and it's hard to see an article you spent time on rapidly deleted. However, Wikipedians have to enforce the encyclopedia's policies or we risk letting the quality and neutrality of Wikipedia erode away. One of those policies is that you should not write an autobiography as it is very hard to write an article about yourself that adheres to Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines. You have more discretion in your user page, which usually does contain some personal information, and I can't see what you wrote to give you specific feedback, but user page guidelines state that they should be "primarily to present information relevant to work on the encyclopedia" and not a personal webpage. Take a look at User:Jimbo Wales - you can see one section with some personal details, but the majority of the page is about contributing to Wikipedia. Or User:Materialscientist has a list of edits and some useful links.
That said, you can still contribute! I recommend WP:The Wikipedia Adventure to get you started and Help:Introduction as a useful reference. Find something you want to write about or see improved (I tried writing an article, then decided I preferred patrolling for vandalism) and go do it.
