I like the longer version of the welcome template as it provides more information useful to a new editor. From your interest in the Bahá'í Faith there are a number of things that may be of interest to you - for example Wikipedia:WikiProject Bahá'í Faith, Category:Bahá'í Faith by country, Category:Bahá'í educational institutions, for ideas of articles people have discussed or are implied because the group is incomplete.
