About Tiger Woods

There is rumors about Tiger Woods's real name being Wiger Toods everywhere (even though the rumor is false)! It's on YouTube and my dad even thinks so! So if that's what you're looking for, please put my edit back. It is not a hoax. It is a real rumor. RobertRay45821 (talk) 13:18, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Do you know the defenition of the word "rumor"? It is what people spread out thinking. I could get somebody to ban you. Besides, I can't really prove it unless I tell you in real life. Also, people believe that Tiger Woods is his real name but then they think "who is named Tiger?". So stop or else I'll get Kww (a Wikipedia user) to ban you. User:Mazdakabedi violated the 3RR 1, 2, 3. Not only that, he is causing disruption by placing false protections [1], abusing my talk page [2], attacking me by calling me names [3]. He's asking me to discuss but there's nothing for me to discuss with him. All the sources have the subject's name very clear for us and I've cited about 10 credible sources which state that the subject was born in Afghanistan. Therefore, I have nothing else to discuss about this subject and Wikipedia talk pages are not to be used as forums to write stuff.--Afghan American (talk) 03:39, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

My user and talk page

Hi NeilN, I was going to ask you about this months ago but you were not active for a while back then. My user and talk page have a red page notice at the top of them. I'm not sure why that is so and don't even know what purpose it serves but at around that time you had appeared on my page when the argumentative teenager who used to follow me around was threatening to report me for reverting him on something (and that he was wrong on) Could you remove it from both pages if you did put it there or if you didn't give me some clue as to why it should be there? Thanks so much for your help! Hope you're doing well and glad to see you're editing again. Agadant (talk) 00:14, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

THIS IS NOT AN ARTICLE FOR WIKIPEDIA Before I put the information on this page that I would like you to comment on, I want to check that it is not going on a live page or being made public. This is to get information and answers to questions. How do you do a talk that is just between a moderator and yourself?

Can I also say, it is completely unclear how to talk with people on Wikipedia. I had to resort to leaving a message on the actual site, which I don't think looks very good. I hope I will see your response. (Bertbert1 (talk) 21:11, 29 April 2011 (UTC))

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Thanks. Ism schism (talk) 02:18, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Thesource73 twitter has no verification option anymore that has been closed for sometime now as you can see on the official http://support.twitter.com/groups/31-twitter-basics/topics/111-features/articles/119135-about-verified-accounts page, celebs have to give their own option for verification in these cases they give Production Company's you can call and that has been done. I'm a Celeb reporter myself in The Netherlands and verify all my resources, if you want to do it yourself you can contact the given Company's. Phone call recordings is a violation of the law and I am not breaking the law here for you guys so you will have to make the call yourself, you can point a representative from wiki to me he can contact me for more information on that. So I would like to have the pages restored with the links I posted as they are verified. Again I am not going to brake the law just because someone on wiki is to lazy to make the call themselfs again Phone Call recording is a violation of the Privacy Act and so can not be done, you or Nymf or whoever from wiki will have to make the Call yourself. Also the account for Jennifer Lawrence have been verified not only to me but also to a lot of other people. The Source (talk) 14:54, 15 May 2011 (UTC)--The Source (talk) 14:54, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Ellen White and masturbation

Dear Neil,

I'm sorry I misunderstood the policy Bout edits on Wiki. You state that I need to cite published material for saying Ellen White did not write "A olemmn Appeal." I said in my explanation that I have had the book in my library for many years and Ellen's name does NOT appear on it, only that of her husband James. If you care to send me your mailing address, I will be glad to mail you a copy.

Consider the following regarding authorship of the quoted section in Ellen G. White. There are at least two primary sources for this quote: An Appeal to Mothers published in 1864 and A Solemn Appeal published in 1870. It has been suggested that James White authored "A Solemn Appeal". The White Estate rendition of A Solemn Appeal starts with this, "My Sisters: My apology for addressing you on this subject is, I am a mother, and feel alarmed for those children and youth who by solitary vice are ruining themselves for this world, and for that which is to come. Let us closely inquire into this subject from a physical, mental, and moral point of view. {SA 49.1}" Ellen White's authorship for An Appeal to Mothers has not been questioned as far as I know. The wording of the two works, i.e. Appeal to Mothers and Solemn Appeal, seem essentially the same. I am also intrigued with the change of gender pronoun. The quote used a masculine pronoun for Nature whereas the original seemed to be a feminine pronoun. DonaldRichardSands (talk) 14:01, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi Neil, I've never noticed Rememberway before, and although I agree with his stance on "generally" (I haven't even looked at that NOUN thing), he needs to cool down and approach editors with whom he has difficulties with more skill. sir what i have to do , what changes to make to get the page back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnedwards1225 (talk • contribs) 16:59, 24 May 2011 (UTC) To have an article on Edwards, you'll need to make a number of changes: Make sure the article is written in neutral point of view and not in overtly promotional tone. Demonstrate that Edwards is a notable person. Cite reliable sources that are independent of Edwards to back up the claims of notability. The third point is especially important since, based on your username and your access to Edwards to take photos of him (that are on Commons), you have a conflict of interest with the subject. The problem with the priceofhumans site is it appears to be written by Edwards or otherwise is under his control. There are very limited uses for self-published sources in articles; specifically, they may not be used to support the notability of the subject.

Well why don't you stop Avaya1 from giving be that exact same warning for simply defending the page as it stood?--Matt Downey (talk) 21:03, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Not really though. I'm defending the section as it stood on 15th of May when Avaya1 seemed to randomly start adding that text, after the issue had already been resolved on the discussion page. She only has one new source, the Sunday Times, hardly likely to be unbiased and independent when it comes to the leader of the Lib Dems. Free Bear's edit is perfectly countered by Sir Richardson's edit summery "None of the sources claim Clegg to have been a member. They illustrate the possibility based upon evidence" so I don't understand why he would add new text stating that he was without a doubt a member. This is an edit warring campaign started by Avaya1 on the 15th of may. I have NOT done anything wrong--Matt Downey (talk) 21:17, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Because content was added and some removed for which there was no reason, no different to putting "Nick Clegg is a di**". There is no justification for any of her edits--Matt Downey (talk) 21:29, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Completely new abortion proposal and mediation

In light of the seemingly endless disputes over their respective titles, a neutral mediator has crafted a proposal to rename the two major abortion articles (pro-life/anti-abortion movement, and pro-choice/abortion rights movement) to completely new names. The idea, which is located here, is currently open for opinions. As you have been a contributor in the past to at least one of the articles, your thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

The hope is that, if a consensus can be reached on the article titles, the energy that has been spent debating the titles of the articles here and here can be better spent giving both articles some much needed improvement to their content. Please take some time to read the proposal and weigh in on the matter. Even if your opinion is simple indifference, that opinion would be valuable to have posted.

To avoid accusations that this posting violates WP:CANVASS, this posting is being made to every non-anon editor who has edited either page since 1 July 2010, irrespective of possible previous participation at the mediation page. HuskyHuskie (talk) 19:46, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Help needed

I have noticed that you have done significant consistent contributions to the Zardari page. Could you please join the discussion at FA nomination for Zardari? I may be leaving the country for a month in 3 days and do not want the nomination to fail if I am gone. Any help would be appreciated. Reformation32 (talk) 21:16, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Incorrect information check the facts

Neil, as I said before very difficult to use Wikipedia especially if you are not using it all the time. This is not for adding to Joan's page it is to give information to get some changes to a statement on her page. Someone has put Joan was dubbed by the media Armourplating, this is not correct. It came out of Joan telling the story in an interview at the start of her career of the play on her name that was used in school. If you check records you will see that this was used as a headline at the time of Joan telling the story. The new statement on Joan's page is a false representation and should be taken out. Now that Wikipedia has put it on the page it's likely that people will start to use it and think that this is a true statement. It was not the media who dubbed Joan but Joan who told the story on the play on her name at school. Yes Joan values her privacy I don't think there is any need to put this statement on her page it's pretty obvious after 40 year in entertainment that she is a private person. What can we do about changing that statement or removing it altogether? It's not actually a news article but written by someone who wants to add to Joan's page in a way that comes across, to my mind, a little vindictively. (Bertbert1 (talk) 17:06, 13 August 2011 (UTC))
