Barnstar Creation[edit]
{{helpme}} How do you create a barnstar if you have the image already? I need it in very many details and I need the details to be general so I can know what you mean. Thank you!
- First, I would start by 'stealing' the code from Template:The Original Barnstar;

- I suggest you copy that into a user subpage - make User:Nelson5577/barntest, and put it there.
- Then, all you really need to do is, change the image name, from "Original_Barnstar.png" to whatever the image you have is. If you haven't already uploaded it, you need to - over at Commons.
- Once you have it in that subpage, with the replaced file, you can test it - you could try it here, putting this;
{{subst:Nelson5577/barntest|Message here}}
- You could use it like that forever, or - if you think that it would be useful to others - you could move it into the template namespace - ie move it to Template:Something Barnstar (with an appropriate name).
- Templates can be substituted without the 'template' prefix - so, if it was put into a template, it could be used by just putting
{{subst:Something Barnstar|Message}}
