Hi (and welcome to Wikipedia!). I've just reverted your changes to The Octagon, Dunedin. Articles about New Zealand use standard New Zealand spellings, and therefore don't have gaps in the words northwestern, southeast, and the like. In the case of the piped link to Movie theater, this appears in the article using the normal NZ term "multiplex cinema", and is spelt "theater" in the (invisible) link to avoid a redirect - the actual article is at movie theater.

BTW, if you are a NZer, you might be interested in Wikipedia:New Zealand Wikipedians' notice board and Wikipedia:WikiProject New Zealand. Grutness...wha? 07:40, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's fine. Heinemann's New Zealand Dictionary seems to have them with the hyphen, too (though it's certainly common to see them as one word). As for the exhibition, I should take that note off my user page - it finished a couple of weeks ago! It went well, with lots of good comments and reviews, though I could have done with a few more sales... :/ Grutness...wha? 00:43, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Reverting vandalism[edit]

Hi! It's good to see you jumping on the vandalism. If I could make a point though: it's always a good idea to look at the history because, sometimes, they make more than one edit, and reverting the last bit of vandalism doesn't get rid of it all! If you check the history for the Koala article you'll see what I mean! Greetings, TINYMark (Talk) 00:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the pleasant thought. Back at you.[edit]

Happy new year. And good wikiing. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 02:12, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Stan[reply]

South West Coast Path GA review[edit]

Thanks for your helpful comments on the South West Coast Path for GA review. A team effort from several editors has hopefully addressed your concerns. I will ask others with more expertise about the possibility of a map. I would be grateful if you would review it again & let me know if there is anything else you feel the article needs.— Rod talk 21:11, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edmund Hillary[edit]

I see. I am aware of the WP:MOS, such as using British English for articles such as Queen (band), I just didn't know that New Zealand also did their dates backwards. Please do not talk down to me like I'm new, I think an admin would be pretty familar with the ins and outs of Wikipedia. It is good to know that New Zealand uses British English; I've never been there, but I hear it's great. Useight (talk) 23:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Manzikert[edit]

I have addressed the issues that you had brought to attention for the GA nomination.

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article VTMIS, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Badge of shame GA review[edit]

I was able to expand the article somewhat, but I could not find sources to satisfy your wish-list. Please take another look. Thanks. Dhaluza (talk) 05:24, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
