@Fephisto: First, I will fully convert Section 1 into prose, so that this article no longer looks like an outline. You are right about this article having a lot of repetitions and redundancies. I will eliminate those in Sections 1 and 2. Section 2 should only contain statistics and unique cultural trends. I was trying to see if I could find a diff source for the misanthrope thing because it's probably more fitting in the criticism section, then just forgot about it, soz. Should section 2 be moved down below 3? Fephisto (talk) 21:56, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Went ahead and gave the section moving a shot among some other minor things. Two notes:

1 - That section I moved probably needs a lookover because there are redundancies in it, as well as a lot of...what read to me as advertising-y plugs to various people's books/articles?

2 - In the pro/con sections I think some of the discussions about the government benefits are redundant.

I condensed the section on the challenges to this lifestyle, now Section 2. I will add some information on the work place later. Some statements in Section 1 contained a lot of citations because when I rewrote it, my focus was on preserving sources and all relevant information. Done! That essay in pop culture is inline with what I understand to be common practice here from experience. I changed it from bullet points into prose, as before. It seems unusual enough now, unlike film shots involving the Eiffel Tower, that what we have is reasonable. I think this article is ready for prime time.
