America is home to libertarianism and I am a libertarian. It is a great wonderful country where I was pleased to live and where there is place for every ethnic group, every religion, every political opinion. I support it principally because I love its people and its political system. --Checco 03:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I find difficult to understand your point. Before I thought that you were the usual anti-American... Can you explain your position? Anyway, I agree with you that the United States is the greatest country in the world. --Checco 03:51, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So what? --Checco 03:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was asking you abouy the question I wrote above. Anyway, I probably got the answer now: all started by the confusion about the meaning of "liberal" in Europe and in the United States, quite opposite meanings. For this reason I preferred to use "libertarian" in my user page. --Checco 04:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 03:58, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page...[edit]

  • ...says "I look for vandalism and people who believe in global warming so I can argue with them with out cursing." You might want to reconsider that stance as it's a definite violation of WP:POINT and a possible violation of WP:CIVIL. Thanks. JuJube 23:25, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on an arbitration page[edit]

Hi. I saw that you undid my courtesy blanking of the workshop page in a recently closed arbitration case. This was done based upon precedent where the arbitration involved a known individual, and at that individual's request. Therefore, I have reverted your change. Please note that the complete text of the page remains available in the page history, so no information has been lost. Please also note that I am an Arbitration Committee Clerk and authorized to make edits of this nature. If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know. Regards, Newyorkbrad 03:50, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to User Talk:Wikilost, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please be careful with your edits. One of your edits to Andrew R. Cobb attempting to revert vandalism actually re-added vandalism into an article. --Ben James Ben 00:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sheridan Elementary School[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sheridan Elementary School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AecisBrievenbus 23:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Bangladesh Police[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Bangladesh Police, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.photius.com/countries/bangladesh/national_security/bangladesh_national_security_police.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Bangladesh Police and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Bangladesh Police with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Bangladesh Police.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Bangladesh Police/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Bangladesh Police saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! NatureBoyMD (talk) 00:49, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi New4321,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RC Patrol-related Proposals in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey[edit]

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
