Thanks for your comments about my "proposal" on the community desysop. I'm really not much into the politics side of things here on Wikipedia (thank God!), and I see that my idea *could* be used to punish good admins who make hard calls on troublesome editors. I was thinking that the community would smack down abuses of my proposal. Perhaps I have too much faith in the community. :-) Anyhow, cheers.   You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our evening "WikiWednesday" salon and knowledge-sharing workshop by 14th Street / Union Square in Manhattan. We also hope for the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. Driving me nuts
I *think* there's an actual term for when someone (usually a lawyer) argues something like: My client didn't bump into the defendant's car, but even if he did, that dent was already there. Where you argue that even if your basic defense is wrong, you're still innocent. I thought it was "arguing the counterfactual", but that apparently isn't it. Do you know what I'm talking about?
