Hello

Hello, NYB. I'm a tad concerned about this sandbox's notes, as it makes me feel as though I'm being harrassed. The sandbox-in-question seems to also be admitting to stalking of my posts. Maybe I'm seeing this wrong, I don't know. PS - I would appreciate some advice on the matter. GoodDay (talk) 23:36, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Have you raised your concern directly with Snowded? Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:00, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
I've considered it, but he didn't notify of his sandbox content & so I figured he might add my complaint to his sandbox. He & I have been bumping heads in the last few weeks (roughly once a month). Considering that I was (years ago) barred from British & Irish articles, it supposes that I would be at a disadvantage. GoodDay (talk) 01:04, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
I see. The sandbox doesn't indicate the reason Snowded is collecting these diffs, but it's possible they are related in some way to that old ArbCom matter you are referencing. Since I'm back on the Committee this year, I think it's best that I leave it to another admin to take a look at this and evaluate independently whether or not there is any issue here. Thank you, Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:07, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
It is indeed related to the old Arbcom case. Either Snowded is being overbearing or I'm messing up. I wouldn't object to an administrator contacting me, 'if' there is concerns about my posts in those talkpages. GoodDay (talk) 01:11, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
If my posts are in the wrong? I would take on a mentor (not Snowded), btw. GoodDay (talk) 01:15, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Just to be clear - the little bell at the top of my wikipedia screen brought me here :-)

I'm not stalking GoodDay but he was originally under a topic ban on all articles relating to the British Isles for a series of provocative comments generally designed to stir things up. That was before he was banned from all editing for an extended period. That behaviour seems to have started up again so I gave him fair warning and hoped that would be enough. But then yesterday I made a proposal for a name change on an obscure article on a medaeval Welsh Prince that I find it difficult to believe was on his watch list and he popped up before withdrawing which to me inidicated he was seeking out opportunities to continue the behaviour for which he was topic banned. That was minor but it came shortly after a needless attempt to encourage reopening the whole Derry/Londonderry debate. His historical (and current) pattern is to try and get other editors to propose changes while standing back himself. Either way those two cases were a toipping point so I started to keep notes and did so in plain sight rather than keeping them off wiki (happy to move them from the sandbox). I was one of the editors who argued for GoodDay to be readmitted to editing as he does a lot of outstanding work on many articles but he has a blind spot on British Isles matters relating to Scottish, Welsh and Irish identity. So after growing frustration over the last two years I decided to start recording evidence with a view to possibly making a case for his topic ban to be reinstated.

Good to see you back on Arbcom by the way :-) -----Snowded TALK 06:04, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Oh will you please knock it off, Snowded. I've created no disruption on those articles. Truth is, you are the only one who's b-tching about my posts at all, at Derry & the Welsh Prince article. As for the latter article, I do admit to some degree of being peeved with your intrusion at the former article. While on the subject of the last 2 years. You used to be a highly productive editor, but since then, you've self-appointed yourself the gatekeeper of the article talkpages. As for both those articles? Nobody's killing anybody, there's no edit warring going on. A least two editors at Derry are in agreement with me. Are you going to start a sandbox on them too? Or are only obsessed with me? So why don't you stop trying to control so much & run off & do something productive. GoodDay (talk) 06:52, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
BTW, who are these old Unionist editors that you're mentioning here, this supposed conspiracy to change Derry to Londonderry? GoodDay (talk) 09:15, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

What should I do, NYB? Will I have to self-restrict myself from British & Irish article talkpages, in order to stop the stalking & harassment from a single editor? GoodDay (talk) 07:05, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
