Comic/Comics[edit]

Hey, Nicknack009, you invited feedback, so here's a nitpick from me.

Is the focus of this article on form or content? It's been pointed out before that the term "comic" in Britain is the equivalent of the North American term "comic book"—a comics periodical. If the article is going to include comic strips and other forms, you might want to be careful with the countable and uncountable "comic"/"comics" forms. For instance, you begin with "British comics have a history distinct from comics in other parts of the world." In the singular ("have") this would imply that the article is about comics periodicals (in which case, the article should be renamed to the singular—"British comic"—as per MoS standards). If the article's about the different forms the comics medium has taken in Britian, then it would be proper to write it "British comics has ... ", with the word "comics" in the singular (as in "politics", "economics"). Curly Turkey (gobble) 22:18, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
