February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, NicksMays. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Gold as an investment, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:30, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thought that was a genuine source so added it. Saw in your comments that it is 1 month old source so was taken off. Latest info about how much gold was recycled is always new. No one could predict it in 1996 that how much would be recycled in 2024.
Also other edits were taken off. I can understand what a conflict of interest is.
For example .htaccess entry the code was added with my own experience because that is what I knew and that was dated 2007. OR Nginx entry because I had hands on experience and have implemented that stuff myself. Anyway I guess I won't understand the Conflict of interest rules then.
If knowing about a particular subject and adding proper info on it but with proper citation is bad then I guess only Plumbers would be editing the Musical Instruments page.
Thanks. NicksMays (talk) 01:19, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
