Mattapan Current Outline-
I. Mattapan Overview This is a very short paragraph that presents data from the 2010 census. This paragraph basically lists that the neighborhood consists of triple-decker homes, single-family homes, public housing, and single family homes. There is also a brief description of how Mattapan relates to the Native American culture. a) Demographic Change This section does contain some detail but focuses on the demographic change that occurred when predominately Jewish families vacated Mattapan and African Americans and Caribbean Americans replaced them. There is so social explanation for this nevertheless, but rather the blame is placed on the Boston Banks Urban Renewal Group. b) Transportation The transportation section is a sentence or two and lacking any great detail. It states the MBTA and the Fairmount line provide service to Mattapan. c) Government and Infrastructure This is a sort of joke section, the only infrastructure listed is the United States Post Office. d) Education i) Primary and Secondary Schools This section is also lacking information. The main points are there, but there are no details about the Boston Public school system and the individual schools in Mattapan. ii) Public Libraries The only important piece of information that can be taken from this sections is that there is a sort of new library opened in Mattapan. e) Notable Residents This is just a list of notable residents there are no facts about the residents other then a mere sentence explaining their accomplishment. f) Notes This is just a bunch of links providing information, but half of the links do not work. g) External Links This is just a bunch of links providing information, but half of the links do not work.
Mattapan Updated Outline-
I will keep a lot of the same subtitles that are already included in the current Mattapan Wikipedia page, but I will add more detail to these categories, as well has expand onto different topics. The overview of Mattapan does not give a high quality description. The overview should focus more on the current situation of living in Mattapan, as well has the annual income average, percent of government aid, and such topics. There should be a subtitle that includes the history of Mattapan and the relation to the Native Americans, the transition to the Jewish community, right up to the current demographics. The infrastructure section needs to be updated and include local stores, shops, etc that can be found in Mattapan. Mattapan also has a high crime rate and a tight knit community and this should be included in two new sections. A section should also be included that shows the sociological perspective of Mattapan and how the aspects of living in the city impacts the daily life of Mattapan residents. The transportation section should also be extended. The MBTA is a very interesting topic right now and this should be an important part of the Wiki page. Transportation is not limited to public transportation though and local parking should also be included. Also all the references should have working links and be legitimate sites. In general all the subtitles on the Wikipedia page need added detail and to be more descriptive. All of the sources for this Wikipedia should be found from primary sources, including newspaper articles, scholarly journals, encyclopedias, and such similar sources.

The following news article is an important to look at when looking at the current Mattapan social situation. The neighborhood is in a revolution movement by the looks of the facts presented in the article. Well, Mattapan has had violent acts in the past committed on their streets, the community appears to be bonding together in light of such violent crimes to make their neighborhood a welcoming place. The Woolson Street Community Garden does not change the community, erase parents fears of letting their kids outside to play, or stop the violence but it is a move in the right direction for the neighborhood to be a safer place.
