Edward Eastwood was born in Hasland Chesterfield in 1826. He established the Eastwood Waggon Works in 1863. In 1875 he financed his nephew Edwin Samson Moore 1849-1926 to createm the Midland Vinegar Company at Aston Cross Birmingham. They would later purchase Garton's HP Sauce under dubious circumstances in 1899. With excellent modern marketing they made HP Sauce available to the mass market and into what we know today as a British Institution. The ancestor of both Edward Eastwood and Edwin Samson Moore is Nigel Britton. In 2012 Nigel re-reigstered the Midland Vinegar Company Limited bringing ownership back into the family after its conception some 127 years earlier. Nigels other business interests can be found in the Home Storage Solution sector where his company Brittons Lofts provide storage space in domestic homes by fitting loft ladders,hatches,flooring and lighting to enable the home owner to access their loft safely to store all those valuable items that help to free up space in the home.
