The Invasion[edit]

Hey, there has been quite a bit of work done to the article "The Invasion (professional wrestling)" since you rated it a Start-Class on the quality scale. I'm unfamiliar with the process you guys at your Wikiproject do, but do you think all of you involved may be able to reassess the quality of the article?

I know I've done a lot of research and put in a lot of citations. It's probably still rough around the edges, but it seems to be more than a stub now.

Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.

- Frightwolf 20:10, 9 December 2007

Hey, I got your message. I actually have Finals this week as well, so I don't know how much I'll get done, but I will try to do what I can. Yes, I am willing to wait a week for you to copy edit. ;)
I will say about Smash Wrestling that I've used it for years, at least more so when I was watching wrestling back in the late 90s (when I discovered the site) and early 00s. It's a very good site, which is why I get information from it, since the people there have plenty of insiders around and are very knowledgeable about the subject of wrestling.
In reference to the citations, a lot of times they cite the paragraph as a whole. I must ask, though -- should I have the same citation shown numerous times, then? I think that's what you're asking when you say to cite the source after everything it's supposed to be citing.
The only thing I'd have to ask if you're copy-editing it is if you could please find maybe one or two good pictures to use. I feel the article calls for it, but due to all this copyright business all pictures fall under, I'll probably mess it up and get pictures that I'm not supposed to be using, and I'll watch them get deleted anyway. Some help would be great whenever you have the free time a week from now. =P
And I think I changed the WWF Invasion results a while ago because someone told me the exact same thing about Wikipedia. Slam! Wrestling covers that citation, now. Thanks for the feedback, and I look forward to hearing from you whenever you have free time from studying. Good luck with that, btw.
Frightwolf 21:45, 9 December 2007
Ah, yes, I know what kind of citations you're talking about. I've done them many times, actually, throughout the article, since I'm the only one that has made citations so far. So it should be done after every fact, then, I presume? Because I can probably do that. It'll definitely take a while, but I at least know how to do it. =P
[[User:Frightwolf|Frightwolf}} 25:16, 9 December 2007
Excellent edits you did on the Invasion article, and I'm glad to see it reached B-Class. Nice addition at the bottom as far as links are concerned.
If there are other things you'd like me to do for this to reach GA-Class, which I'm sure there are plenty of things, just give me a ring. No doubt the both of us will be busy during the holidays, but at least I'll know in the future what needs to be done. =P

Question: After you're done creating the PPV article, (I created Vengeance 06, in my Sandbox) do you create the article or do you wait? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:46, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. Thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to make sure. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 22:49, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block[edit]

There is this editor who is begging to be blocked by continuing to make vanfalism. ClueBot has warned him, but he still continues. The user,User:MiguelL0pz, has not made one single edit which is constructive.

Here are his edits:

[1] He writes: "Johnathon Coachman was in Playboy and he show his ass and cock."
[2] He wrote that the ECW Champion is Kelly Kelly and she won it on the December 10 edition of ECW.
[3] He wrote that the WWE Champion is Melina, the Womens Champion is Candice Michelle and the World Tag Team Champions are Candice Michelle and Hanna Montana
[4] Removed all dates for the General Managers of Smackdown
[5] Again... removed all the GM's dates.
[6] Here he wrote that the WWE Champion is Candice Michelle, the Womens Champion is Candice Michelle, the Intercontinental Champion is Candice Michelle and the World Tag Team Champions are... you guessed it: Candice Michelle and Candice Michelle!
[7] Removed all authority figures in Friday Night Smackdown article.
[8] All the champions are Candice Michelle again, but this time, Candice's tag team champion partner is Cody Rhodes... (at least he got 1/2 champion right)
[9] Blanked the GMs again... what's his deal with the SD GMS?
[10] Orginally saying that Vickie is the present GM... he replaced it with: "Vickie Guerrero, Fuck you."
[11] He made it as so there are 2 women champions in the WWE, them being Melina and... CANDICE (go figure)
[12] He wrote that SD's current GM is Stacy Keibler.
[13] Wrote that Kelly Kelly is the current ECW Champion.
[14] Replaced Kelly Kelly's win from September to December 11
[15] He wrote that Beth Phoenix hates mexicans
[16] Replaced Stratus' real name with "Miss PLayboy 1999"

There are many other edits, but you can't suppose I'd write them all down here. Please see to this ASAP. Lex T/C Guest Book 17:02, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Well, I added this complaint to the ANB eariler, so you can post the response there. The problem is that this guy just keeps on and on doing the same vandalism: Changing the Raw champions, making Kelly Kelly ECW Champion, and messing up the Smackdown General Managers. I dont know what his deal is. Lex T/C Guest Book 17:30, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You![edit]

Thank You for stepping in, I tried to tell this guy doppy, that how it looks doesnt matter and that citings make the article a FL candidate. And I dont know how he knows which developmental talent is and is not under WWE contract? Do you know? or how should we source those?TrUcO9311 (talk) 21:09, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bother you like this but I saw you comment on the project page about the sources going in. Thank you for agreeing but one user removed all refs, User:NickSparrow, I restored it back to an edit by a bot, but what can we do to stop this from happening? Is there a way to protect the article so only constructive edits can occur?--TrUcO9311 (talk) 05:38, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well thats ok, it has kind of calmed down. --TrUcO9311 (talk) 22:29, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hornetman sock[edit]

Could you please block 72.186.88.137 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) as a sock for some appropriate period of time. Per this edit to this section, his generally aggressive editing pattern, and the WHOIS info listing him from Riverview, Florida, I think he's a sock. He claims to be from Tampa, Florida[17], which is right near Riverview [18]. You may need Firefox to see that map, but if you use something else you can just type Riverview, Florida into Google Maps to see it. Cheers, The Hybrid T/C 06:35, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Nikki :). BTW, I'd like your opinion on something. I'm debating whether or not I should bring the Sexy Sea Bass theme into my signature. What are your thoughts on this? Cheers, The Hybrid T/C 05:27, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sweet :)! I'll be asking you opinion on the design I come up with. Cheers, The Hybrid T/C 05:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I've designed one, but I'm not sure I like it enough to stick with, as it is really crammed together. What do you think of it, though? Cheers, Hybrid-SexySeaBass 05:55, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'm just going to switch over to SexySeaBass, like ThinkBlue did before his name change. I don't know if I'll have my username changed or not, but nonetheless I like this new siggy. Cheers Nikki, SexySeaBass 08:48, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Questions[edit]

Yeah, I was probably a bit too harsh, but he has consistently been a bad leader, and is going to destroy the newsletter unless something gives. I don't want to be a leader; I don't believe in leaders. Therefore, I have no intentions of staging a coup d'état, but I do hope that he will voluntarily step down. If he doesn't, I'll play dirty. If another person tries to replace him, I'll play dirty. I'm not a pacifist, and it wouldn't be the first time I've had to break a friend like a wild horse to keep them from embarrassing themselves. The only power structure that could possibly work would be a 3-pronged system, with TJ Spyke, myself, and Moe Epsilon/Save Us 222 holding the three prongs, and you being the final judge. The three of us have the most experience of the Newsletter bunch with disputes, and you're the one who was smart enough to stay out of them and make admin :P. I'm joking about the system, of course. Anyway, I'll get to answering your questions now, and I may take you up on the 3rd opinion offer. I don't know that we should be compromising on the position of leader, however. That needs to be weeded out entirely. Cheers, SexySeaBass 08:58, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Monitor[edit]

Hi, I just noticed that this page was up for deletion because of lack of references and notability concerns. I was rewriting the article and adding references to the Monitor Group page using the preview function, but when I clicked "saved" the page was gone. I noticed that you had deleted it just seconds before... Is there a way to undelete? What should I do with the content I wrote? Thanks! 69.224.116.152 (talk) 19:55, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shelton Benjamin[edit]

An article you majorly contributed to, Shelton Benjamin, which passed it's FAC recently, has 1 broken link. It would be great if you could replace the link with a better one. Cheers, Lex T/C Guest Book 18:59, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I found some sources for this article today. When I tried to add them, though, it threw off the page's format. I was wondering if you could help me figure out where to put the references to the tournament results. I've moved them to after the first sentence in each section, but I don't think it's clear that the references are for the results. I was also wondering if you think that adding these references is sufficient to bring it to Start class. I'm not sure what more I can do, as a lot of the prose seems like Original Research and/or Point of View, but I was wondering if the references are enough to raise this above Stub level.
